Make sure you bring extra weights for the tent, predicting 40mph gusts. I gotta dig some out today. Usually when it's windy, we'll skip the tent. But not with the forecast for tomorrw.I bet you Bass Pro Shop does some good walk in business selling rain/cold weather gear.
As for me, I've got the tent with walls, a nice big fire and plenty of bad weather gear to enjoy the show.
Got the leg weights and I put grommets into the walls last week so we could weigh/bungee those down to.Make sure you bring extra weights for the tent, predicting 40mph gusts. I gotta dig some out today. Usually when it's windy, we'll skip the tent. But not with the forecast for tomorrw.
Thanks for the Geography lesson Mr. Wizard, but don't compare fan bases and who can brave extreme-weather better during the winter months. I grew up in northern Maine and still live in Maine, I hardly doubt the fine citizens of a southern-Indiana, mid-western city could begin to tell New Englander's how to handle a little snow and cold temperatures! If I had the time and tickets to go to the game on Sunday, I would definitely be at that game, and wouldn't think twice about the weather. I would just plan for it.
Well, gotta go! I have to change the oil in my snow-blower because I hear we're suppose to get a little bit of snow tomorrow.
The people in the 100's are the longest season ticket holders. The guys who supported the teams through the bad times. I think your thinking club seats. I just checked the exchange and all I saw were 300 levels for sale.
At the bottom of the page you need to click on 'see all'. As of a few minutes ago, there were over 1000 tix available. If you get something in 130 - 134, row 35 - 37, you'd get some overhead cover and the wind would be blocked somewhat.
I might pick up one of those and take the train in.

I have seasons in 132 row 30 so I'll be fully in the rain. I am taking the train down as well. My crew will still be tailgating in the Rodman lot but I'm taking my son and I don't need to put him in the elements any longer than necessary.
I'm getting concerned about just how many folks will get the same idea (to take the train). I would normally use the Mansfield stop, but I might just go to Providence or N.Attleboro to make sure I get on.
If the wind holds true, it should be more in the face of the fans on the home side, right?
My friend just invited me to the game because someone bailed ... PLUS ... I'm going to next weeks game against the Dolphins!!!!!!
On a side note, I've never been to a Pats game before in my life.
All plans are shot to hell by the 4th quarter. That's my experience anyway. I went in full blown skiing outfit, with hand-foot warmers, face covering, etc., as though I were skiing from the highest part of Gore Mountain. I was warm, but when the rain-sleet-wind started, it was just impossible to watch a pro football game. My eyelids and eyelashes froze and I was in pain. You literally can't watch the game, so what's the point?
We ca all imagine the worst conditions. Obviously, Patriots' fans will show up in sub zero temperature (Titans playoff game) but 35 degrees, rain, 20 mph winds. That's horrific.
Curious, I wonder if there are some "fair weather" fans in Foxboro?? In Indy, we seem to get some flak because of our domed stadium, etc..., I would love to have an open air stadium, and be exposed to the natural elements. NE seems to embrace this setting, yet the fans are fleeing in response to the weather. I'm shocked
I like to hang out here because the Pats have a great if not the best football team ever and our biggest rival to date, and where we play does not matter, not sure what you think its a big deal because im a fan of a dome team, what does that have to do with anything? I guess you didn't see us kick the Ravens ass in the rain the other night, we play well in th elements when given the chance, of course we didn't that last two playoff games in Foxboro but we have learned from those games, just chill I was just making a point that we can all talk without all the insults, no big deal to me I can take it, if thats just the way it is around here..
This is what my dauther used to day when she was six years old. Always bragging about what she wanted to do, always knowing she never did it and never would. It's a nice little girl fantasy.
When was the last time you said, "Ooo, it's 33* and raining in Cinci/Chicago/Cleveland/wherever. That's only a few hours away. Let's go to the game and get cold and wet?"
No, little wussie. Stay in your dome and write a letter of complaint if the temp goes under 70*
After the Titans playoff game, I walked almost the entire three miles to the Walpole Motel before I could feel my toes again.
