I bet you Bass Pro Shop does some good walk in business selling rain/cold weather gear.:D
As for me, I've got the tent with walls, a nice big fire and plenty of bad weather gear to enjoy the show.

Boston is a little bigger then Indianapolis, so that is to be expected.

Thanks for the Geography lesson Mr. Wizard, but don't compare fan bases and who can brave extreme-weather better during the winter months. I grew up in northern Maine and still live in Maine, I hardly doubt the fine citizens of a southern-Indiana, mid-western city could begin to tell New Englander's how to handle a little snow and cold temperatures! If I had the time and tickets to go to the game on Sunday, I would definitely be at that game, and wouldn't think twice about the weather. I would just plan for it.

Well, gotta go! I have to change the oil in my snow-blower because I hear we're suppose to get a little bit of snow tomorrow.

Me and my GF were just talking about the game. I told her that a small part of me would rather stay at home and watch it, she said the same thing. But we both said we have to see the Jets game. If it was next weekend against Miami, that might be a different story.

It is gonna suck sitting up in the 300's tomorrow!

Make sure you bring extra weights for the tent, predicting 40mph gusts. I gotta dig some out today. Usually when it's windy, we'll skip the tent. But not with the forecast for tomorrw.

I made it from Jersey, got a ticket in lower 134 dirt cheap...an they said this is a tough ticket!!...lol

Got the leg weights and I put grommets into the walls last week so we could weigh/bungee those down to.

Im not the one that started the Geography lesson, that was one of your fellow Pats fans. Just getting ready to get the snow blower out myself, were supposed to get a ton of snow to. With this kind of storm coming in I wouldn't blame anybody for staying home, I would guess even the hardcore fans that are used to the bad weather games would probably consider staying home tommorrow, its supposed to be a dangerous storm..

The people in the 100's are the longest season ticket holders. The guys who supported the teams through the bad times. I think your thinking club seats. I just checked the exchange and all I saw were 300 levels for sale.

At the bottom of the page you need to click on 'see all'. As of a few minutes ago, there were over 1000 tix available. If you get something in 130 - 134, row 35 - 37, you'd get some overhead cover and the wind would be blocked somewhat.

I might pick up one of those and take the train in.

As of this morning from WHDH.COM:

Pats/Jets game starts with rain that will taper to drizzle by halftime. Windy with temperatures in the mid 30s through the game.

So, it looks like if you dress for wet weather things shouldn't be too bad (no worse than some of the other rain games). Probably the biggest pain will be tailgating, if it's windy and rainy everything will get wet and tents won't be much use. Oh well, it will be an adventure, but me and my 12 year old son are up for some fun, probably stop at Bass Pro Shop on the walk up just to get out of the rain for a few minutes...us and 10,000 other people :)

I have seasons in 132 row 30 so I'll be fully in the rain. I am taking the train down as well. My crew will still be tailgating in the Rodman lot but I'm taking my son and I don't need to put him in the elements any longer than necessary.

All plans are shot to hell by the 4th quarter. That's my experience anyway. I went in full blown skiing outfit, with hand-foot warmers, face covering, etc., as though I were skiing from the highest part of Gore Mountain. I was warm, but when the rain-sleet-wind started, it was just impossible to watch a pro football game. My eyelids and eyelashes froze and I was in pain. You literally can't watch the game, so what's the point?

We ca all imagine the worst conditions. Obviously, Patriots' fans will show up in sub zero temperature (Titans playoff game) but 35 degrees, rain, 20 mph winds. That's horrific.

I'm getting concerned about just how many folks will get the same idea (to take the train). I would normally use the Mansfield stop, but I might just go to Providence or N.Attleboro to make sure I get on.

If the wind holds true, it should be more in the face of the fans on the home side, right?

Sorry to chime in on a Pats thread, I just happened to be watching the weather channel and they said the biggest problem with this game is going to be the wind will keep changing directions, from easterly to northwesterly, not sure what that really means, 50-60 mph winds...just passing on the info, im sure most of you probably already knew..

Tailgating and sitting up in 329 row 26 should fun tomorrow.

I hope for snow more than rain, snow would probably be easier to take, rain just gets you all wet and miserable, and the seats will probably be all slush concidering it's suppose to snow before the changeover.

My friend just invited me to the game because someone bailed ... PLUS ... I'm going to next weeks game against the Dolphins!!!!!!

On a side note, I've never been to a Pats game before in my life.

Congrats to all you virgins! You'll love the stadium.

Gore Mountain isn't even 4,000 feet, your snots will barely freeze at that mole hill. :D You should get some new ski gear and try wearing goggles if it's that bad. Cover yourself from head-to-toe in a good brand that uses WindBloc Goretex and any exposed skin should be lathered up in Dermatone, this will prevent the freezing of facial hair and bare skin. A Squeegie works really well for getting the ice off the visor on my snowmobile helmet (already logged 600 miles on my Summit so far this season), so it should work on goggles if you decide to try 'em out. :D :D

Curious, I wonder if there are some "fair weather" fans in Foxboro?? In Indy, we seem to get some flak because of our domed stadium, etc..., I would love to have an open air stadium, and be exposed to the natural elements. NE seems to embrace this setting, yet the fans are fleeing in response to the weather. I'm shocked:eek:

This isn't just a "fair weather fan" issue. The weather will be potentially severe and getting in and out of Foxboro even on a good day is a chore. Personally, I believe there isn't such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing. I'll be leaving early and will be there, just like I was when 3 feet of snow fell four years ago right before the Miami game.

I like to hang out here because the Pats have a great if not the best football team ever and our biggest rival to date, and where we play does not matter, not sure what you think its a big deal because im a fan of a dome team, what does that have to do with anything? I guess you didn't see us kick the Ravens ass in the rain the other night, we play well in th elements when given the chance, of course we didn't that last two playoff games in Foxboro but we have learned from those games, just chill I was just making a point that we can all talk without all the insults, no big deal to me I can take it, if thats just the way it is around here..

Do not worry my friend your team ought to have a date with destiny in the "elements" soon..........
:eat3: :eat1: :eat2:

 This is what my dauther used to day when she was six years old. Always bragging about what she wanted to do, always knowing she never did it and never would. It's a nice little girl fantasy.

When was the last time you said, "Ooo, it's 33* and raining in Cinci/Chicago/Cleveland/wherever. That's only a few hours away. Let's go to the game and get cold and wet?"

No, little wussie. Stay in your dome and write a letter of complaint if the temp goes under 70*

After the Titans playoff game, I walked almost the entire three miles to the Walpole Motel before I could feel my toes again.

1.)No, little wussie.-Insulting other members is against policy, but I am sure they'll let you slide:rolleyes:

2.)I walked almost the entire three miles to the Walpole Motel before I could feel my toes again. Yes, but was it uphill??
