Let me clear this one up. The ProShop doesn't pay us. The deal I made with the ProShop was/is a trade where in exchange for having their links at the top of the board, they agreed to ship a T-shirt package to people who donated to the site because I wasn't comfortable taking people's money without being able to give them something in return. The deal went stagnant for a while over the last year and a half, but I recently worked on making sure we could do it again (and many of you should have gotten packages recently from what they told me) because ad revenue is way down due to ad blockers and I needed a little help, but I didn't want to ask for donations unless people could at least get something tangible for their $18.00.

So that's the story. I've been pretty transparent about this since we started, although I've been working recently on trying to put together a better system to keep track of it so people don't have to enter their info dozens of times and to make sure people receive them when they're supposed to.

But no, the ProShop doesn't pay us, whatever revenue we pull in is from the ads on here, which haven't been great this year so I've been trying to pare back to make this place run a little smoother and the new version of the forum will be lighter ad-wise. However, the fact the ProShop agreed to send those shirts out was big, so as long as they keep sending people who are helping us out T-shirts, I'm O.K. with that since those of you who helped out helped pay for some of the equipment upgrades that were done this offseason, which should hopefully prevent any issues this year moving forward. Believe me, every bit helps, so thank you.

No sweat, Ian. Thanks for expounding on your relationship with the Pro Shop.

Great job w/ the site as usual.

This isn't 1982 where they run Neilsen samplings to a small percentage of households and that's that. We all have smart boxes now. Your TV knows what you watch, sends that data to your cable/satellite provider, and they use predictive modeling to try and figure out what else you might want to watch. Your data is tracked is ways you couldn't even possibly imagine.

Audience measurement - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sightcorp, TruMedia, Quividi, relEYEble, stickyPiXEL, Cognitec, goCount and CognoVision provide real-time audience data including size, attention span and demographics by using video analytics technology to automatically detect, track and classify viewers watching digital displays. Networked Insights measures online audiences, and released a report ranking television shows, based on people's interactions within social media. The study showed that half of the shows on Networked Insights' top 10 list did not appear on the Nielsen Media Research (NMR) list.
The box doesn't know how many are watching, or even if anyone is. If it's going to be on anyway, they don't know if I am watching or not.

To be clear, I wouldn't watch the games at all, but not watching was not worth the conflict with friends and family. It's not important enough to me to ostracize myself from them over it.

As to my online presence, if they're paying any attention at all to the content of what I am posting then I'm glad they know I'm posting. As to them somehow profiting from it... I'm dubious.

The Notorious RBG is our only hope.
Tom always was very popular with the ladies. :D

I like the chances of a stay (from Ginsburg, not CA2), but I do not like our chances of the USSC actually agreeing to hear it. It raises the question of when is the best time for Brady to file the appeal. They have until October 13, but I would not recommend waiting that long because it could put December/January at risk.

IF we get the stay, I think they will file within a month or so, maybe less. Any potential suspension could still take place, just with a different 4 games so it may be risky to delay too long.

That or it extends long enough that a certain canindate wins that has a bone to pick with the NFL. I feel we haven't played out every bit of ridiculousness possible until it happens. Ultimately, an intergalactic trial will find Roger guilty on seven charges of defamation against the word "integrity" and 3 of the word "fairness" and will be banished from time and space.

You should look into: FAQs – The Ticketmaster Developer Portal and maybe some other ticket sales sites.

Just in case you're not familiar, it's a legendary film on the level with Casablanca, Godfather, Big Lebowski and Ted...

Forgive my ignorance of Jets fan high culture and scripture. I saw the movie but didn't memorize it.

I'm not a fan of loading this place up with affiliate links, which is probably to my detriment but since this is a community, it's something I've really tried to limit since a lot of the traffic is from people who visit each day. As a matter of fact, the newer version of here that I'm working on is going to condense a lot of that, primarily to make it load quicker and to make for an overall better experience for people

You're the ****'n man @Ian!

I'll be increasing my annual donation, I'm guilty of using an Ad-Blocker and admittedly don't often step into the shoes of someone like yourself who spend a lot of time working on and maintaining a site like this. It takes a lot of time, effort and money to build and maintain websites and this community is literally a part of my lifestyle at this point, seeings how I check it daily like a drug fiend or something lol

Thanks for all you do and for your selfless, community driven approach to make this a place that I enjoy coming to every day, whether it be to talk football or ***** about the judicial process... there is nowhere I'd rather be!

The sad fact of the matter is that in many ways, justice is a completely random process. The 3 appeals judges that ruled against Brady (by a 2-1 margin) were randomly selected. It is safe to assume that if the random selection process unfolded differently, there could easily have been a 2-1 decision for Brady, not against him.

It's almost as if they may as well have just flipped a coin. :(

That's what en banc is for though. If they felt the random selection process got a result the full group wouldn't get, they'd rehear it. So best to assume that the majority of a CA2 believes they got it right.

To be quite honest, almost all you people are fine, upstanding, genteel individuals. You are intelligent, well educated free thinkers. You are what makes the Patriots fanbase special. A finer group of fans would be hard to find IMO.

On the contrary, I am NOT a nice guy....not when someone is shytting on me. My experience has taught me that when some azzole tries to shyt on you , you have to beat him to the punch or he will continue like a rat continues to go for the cheese.

What needs to happen and happen NOW is Goodell needs to be smashed in his face , knocked out and then defecated and urinated on while he lies there out cold. Take snapshots and then disseminate to all four corners of the earth. The perpetrators of the assault need to have the finest legal counsel and should be paid by a Patriots fan backed defense fund. A one dollar donation from every Pats fan would suffice.
When he appears ANYWHERE in the United States and sees his face being displayed, with his unconscious mouth open and urine and feces all over his face, he'll get the message. He screwed around with the WRONG fanbase.

Why did you leave out the corrupt group of 32. They're just as guilty as that ****hole!:(

I respectfully disagree. En banc is granted incredibly rarely, especially in CA2. I think if the random selection process of the 3-judge appeal panel came down differently, Brady could easily have won 2-1, not lost 2-1, and it still would likely not have been granted an en banc review.

Given that 2 of the 4 federal judges who heard this case sided with Brady, I have little doubt that some of the other 10 appeals judges who could have heard this case would have done so as well.

I went out and walked five miles...and then I sat in a quiet wooded glen and meditated...after that I took a nice refreshing swim in the ocean here in Charlestown. Came home and made a nice iced tea with lemon....aaaahhhhhhh.

Yes...and guess what? I'm SEETHING with rage.

"it's not over til the fat lady sings"

Uh huh....let me update this adage a bit...

IT AIN'T OVER TIL THE JOKER SWINGS...AND SWINGS AND SWINGS AND SWINGS AND SWINGS AND.....

Anyone else find it disconcerting that we've had 2 branches of the Government (Executive and Judicial) announce that the laws don't have to be followed? Because, that is essentially what the 2CA has said. That arbiters don't have to follow arbitration law. They can just do whatever the hell they fancy at the time. And this goes beyond just labor law.. Because it affects every avenue that arbitration is used..

This case needs to be heard because of the nature of it. Feinstein did not come out for no reason. This case goes to the heart of corruption within corporate America. Will courts allow private judicial systems to run within their own systems. It's not American that workers rights are trampled. We will become third world sweat shop nation like those others if if private businesses are allowed to make their own rules. The court system is and has been allowing big business to create a system of abuse of power within its own walls. They go under the guise labor law within a court system would over crowd the courts.

Can you all not see history repeating itself, a country crumbling, and a corrupt law system that has become so convoluted that a persons rights are secondary.

This case should be on the mind of every American. Have they dumbed us down that much.

Tom Brady's greatness has put him at the apex of a manifested destiny. It has become way beyond his individuality. Stories in culture become mythical then legendary.

He must stand up or we all fall lower. Can you as people not see the trouble we are all in.

Back to football, Why is everyone saying he will take to 4 games because it is at the beginning of the schedule and then they can focus on the rest of the season. Don't the Pats preach one game at a time and next man up. That the game in front of them is as important as the next. Brady could get hurt and not play tomorrow. It would be very Un Belichick to hold him out four games.

Brady can not stop. As Michael Irvin said Brady is writing the single greatest story the NFL has every seen. The more the world offends the Patriots the more his strength grows. History is cyclical and novelty is rewriting and old story of what Boston once was.

Enjoy the ride.

If RBG can't keep her personal and professional lives separate, then she has no business serving on SCOTUS.
