Brady calling all his receivers to assemble

So Brady putting a video up on Facebook whilst he's on vacation himself has turned into a thread of the usual suspects bagging on Dobson because he's also on vacation? Ok then!

Are you all forgetting when everyone was accusing him of not going to the Police when the Ravens player died he was actually training with DeAndre Hopkins?
Come on! Don't gum up the works by being reasonable and fair. That often doesn't play well around here. Smarten up.

If Brady attempted to use a whoopie cushion to summon his offensive line, would that also be Dobson's fault?

I think it would.

Best part of that was seeing Dola hanging with Jules, having off-season fun. Encourages me that they'll both be happy campers going into TC, or at least that Dola is not letting contract concerns cloud locker room chemistry.

They understand that they are employees and have almost nothing to say with regard to management decisions. As long as they are here, they will act as if they are part of the team, and will have fun in the off-season.

I defended Dobson his first two seasons here but I have lost patience with him. Players are always going to go through bad stretches with injuries and I don't get down on him for that but from where I sit I see no improvement in his game and he really gives off the sense that he doesn't work very hard. He can't be a complete dog or he would be gone but I think both the Hogan and Washington signings are a clear message that Belichick is bringing in competition for the bigger receiver roles and Dobson will be fighting for his spot on the roster.

Same, I defended Dobson as much as anyone for two seasons. At this point I've given up on him. I think it's 50/50 that he makes the team at all, and if he doesn't it'll be no significant loss.

You've given up and give him a 50-50 chance of making the team?

I haven't given up on him, and I think that his chances are much less. I have guys like Martin and Washington in the 50-50 category, behind Edelman, Hogan and Amendola (or a high draft choice).

While I realize it's a warped and simplistic perspective I never understand how players can have an opportunity like that in front of them and not try to make the most of it. This is especially true in New England under Belichick as the list of players who came from nowhere (E.G... Edelman, Welker, BJGE, Givens, Neal.......) to go on and be successful and cash in long, and the list of players who got a second or third chance and made the most of it is also long and led to big paydays, most recently Talib, Ayers, Hicks..... Given what's at stake you would think that a guy with Dobsons athletic ability would be doing literally everything possible to become a primary target. Christ, even now one breakout season where he catches 65 balls for around 900-,1000 yards with 6-10 TDs would bring him a Marvin Jones deal, and that's ridiculous. I would be camping outside of Bradys house if I had that opportunity.

Imagine what would happen if Dobson actually had a break out season to go with the rest of this offense? If things go right this team is going to be exceptional.

I expected him to get cut last year and it didn't happen, so I'm acknowledging that the Pats likely see something in him that I don't that might lead them to leave him on the end of the roster as WR5, based on the same criteria--whatever they may be--that got him on the roster last year. But even if he makes the team, I have a hard time believing he'll make any meaningful contribution on the field.

You know what, I don't really have an issue with guys living it up in the offseason.

It's the offseason.

I could see if we were talking about practice or during the actual season, but I don't really give a sh*t if guys are wasted 24/7 until August. They show up to camp ready to rock and roll, and I'm good.

Let those young guys enjoy their lives. Playing this sport, they may only have a few years left to actually enjoy themselves without debilitating physical and mental injuries.

It's weird seeing Gronk run without people diving at his knees.

So I know I'm late to the party, but am I the only one taking this as Amendola is gonna be back....?

Was about to agree with you but then saw Brady edited his facebook so as to not lead anybody on...

I love Gronks gait. It's unathletic looking as hell but dude looks scary when running.

May have a film career after, as Michael Myers or Jason Vorhees.

I'm not. I still think there is some negotiating going on.

Getting a big kick out of this whole thing; I love the playful spirit. It bodes well.

Would've been funnier if Brady yelled "STOP PARTYING" at the top of his lungs

I f***ing love it. These guys are the best.

Also, Tom is the only guy who can get away with wearing socks with sandals.
