Bill could have the first overall pick and I still wouldn't trust him to draft a WR. Remember the whole Julio Jones thing?
the one he was right about?

Let's wait and see what happens. Wouldn't be surprised if Hogan comes cheap. Matthews didn't exactly light the world on fire.

Mathews played in just 11 games and had 46 receptions for 660 yards and 4 TDs. Pretty damn good IMO.

One name I might look out for is former Titans receiver Randy Moss. Think he could be a solid fit.

Pats don't need some elite deep threat they need a guy that can contribute and play 15-16 games.. In the first half of the season they were on almost a record pace offensively and that was without an outside WR...

WR still unsigned I think would come here and contribute..

Kearse
Sanu (as of right now still hasn't signed that supposed $7m per for Atlanta)
Randle
Boldin

Get 1 of them and sign Hogan and I would consider that a solid FA in terms of adding to the WR corp..

Move on and sign Powell and then Gresham (very good blocker which is a huge reason why Chandler didn't work)

Then tell Amendola he needs to redo his deal..

Boldin, Kearse or Randle would be solid here if you ask me. I just think they may cost too much $$. How about Nate Washington? Savvy veteran with good hands, may be a bargain.

I'd be okay with even extending it if needed to stretch the money out over 1-2 more years but that's with me seeing him as an absolute must-have for 2016 and I think you could still reasonably expect him to be at least decent depth/KR/PR a couple years out.

But I also think maybe you don't ask him unless you absolutely need to have the money because he's a $6.5m cap savings with $1.3 dead money next year so by not playing with the money now unless you have to, you give yourself more flexibility with the money and the roster later.

Matthews only got 3 year 15 million. Unbelievable that we didn't get him.

Still more than Edelman makes.. I hope that after the FA and draft, and after theyve created a contingency reserve of funds to handle injuries and mid season pickups, that if there is some money left over they throw some Julian's way... he doesn't get enough recognition for being a team player and not making a stink even when the Pats signed Ochocinco at $6 mil or so, and gave Amendola more as well...

Edelman has been way more productive than those guys, an integral piece of this offense... I'd be pretty annoyed if I kept seeing guys lesser than me signing on for more money..

If the opportunity is there, give him like a $1 mil bonus mid year so it counts against the cap this year

I particularly want Kearse and Boldin. I think both are underrated a bit and are dependable vets that will not drop it and play with an edge. Also they have shown they can show up on the big stages when the defensive backs are allowed to play and hit.

I'd be absolutely fine with that. The longer they remain on the market, the cheaper their price tag becomes.

I this is makes sense to be super interest in this if you are a Patriots fan cause we are talking about the 1 FA we will get that will be a starter or is the most likely starter.

It is an important spot and the fact is Edelman/Amendola/Martin are not enough. You want a player infront of both Amendola and Martin.. maybe 2.

Bye bye Sanu. We hardly knew ye...

If this is what the Pats are looking for, I'll be surprised if they dont go after Kerley.

Solid reliable (and cheap) guy. Was only phased out w/Jets cause Marshall/Decker are much better versions of him.

Thank God no Sanu. All set with a slightly more athletic Lafell for what he got paid. I'd rather Boldin for a year and finally hit a draft pick.
