Coaching has been horrible down the stretch and stupid today

I don't disagree with that at all. I just think it's a lot easier to call that a likelihood knowing that Denver's offense didn't do anything else the rest of the game.

Hell maybe kicking the FG would force them to really try to do something else, and Manning would throw a pick. Maybe he'd throw another TD. Maybe they still go 3 & out and the Pats are playing for the win. I just think BB was trying to do the best thing he could do to win the game and giving TB and the offense a chance to tie it up.

I admit I may be wrong here and the better angels of his nature need to take over and make him more conservative there. My point is just that I've always been okay with his aggressive style because I think it's part of taking the bad with the good. If this was a 37-32 or 40-32 game and they'd been moving the ball solidly all game I think he may have chosen differently. I understand why they did what they did, and I don't refuse to understand it just because they lost.
I get that and it's not why they lost. They lost through a combination of passive play on D in the first half, especially on third downs and poor O-line play from beginning to end.

The problem with this argument is that a TD ties at best. You still need to rely on the offense to drive down the field again for a win. The broncos only scored 3 in the second half, so why don't you trust them to make a stop. It was a one possession game with SIX minutes left. Too much time to play desperate
I don't think he lacked trust in the defense to make a stop.

I think he lacked confidence that the offense would make it 60-80 yards down the field for a TD on the next possession if they couldn't do it on that one. So let's do it now. The end of game TD nearly made my heart stop, but it was on a desperation over the top throw to Gronk followed by a junk toss up to Gronk. I wouldn't assume that to be a repeatable sequence if Denver was playing knowing that a TD would lose them the game rather than just send it to OT.

What a bunch of cry baby fans. It amazing that this team went as far as it did with all the injuries.

The Denver defense was just too much for the OL to handle, period. That was the game.
Well, one of the big complaints is about the O-line. Why does that make everyone cry babies?

"You can't just assume everything will go down exactly the same for gods sake.."

Those are your words glm. But now it's ok for YOU to ASSUME?

And another troll response. Good job.
Dude you have been thoroughly schooled tonight. And you have been disagreed with more than any other poster on this board by dozens of other posters. You have no credibility or football knowledge, and frankly should be embarrassed by your lack of debate, analysis, and analytical skills.

What the hell are you talking about ? Where am I assuming anything ?

I thought kick the FG too, but i didn't think this coaching thread would be on one note. How about the inability to adjust when Gronk, Edelman, and I assume Amendola were double, or triple teamed and there were pass rushers in on each play.

They only have eleven players, so how about going to White, Martin, LaFell or Chandler early and try to dictate the defense? They never adjusted IMO, as they only started forcing it to a 2-3 teamed Gronk late and desperate heaves to White.

By contrast, Peyton found the openings.

Call a damn timeout and come up with a plan. that game was not as close as the score indicated. Our offense was on it's heels all game. Yeah, the OLine sucked, but we did not force the defense to adjust the whole game, we were desperate from the get go.

Don't need hindsight to know that the play call on 4th and 1 was horrific. O-line can't block for more than a second so let's go play action! Has to work right?

I can follow the logic behind going for it down 8. I wasn't upset about it but looking back the field goal was the right call.

Why did we take the ball though? We always defer, and the second we chose to accept the kick I thought red hoodie SB 42. Why switch things up?

We have role players in place of game breakers, {Lewis} so, you utilize them early, to take pressure off your playmakers.

Coaching can get called out for failing to adjust to the coverage the Broncos were giving as well as figuring a way to stop Miller. Going for it on 4th down wasn't a problem to me.

Agree that we had no response to what Denver was throwing at us.

That being said it seems like the OL underperformed so severely that our gameplan was essentially fckued from the get go. If you can’t get the pass rush under control even with the help of an extra lineman (Fleming) then there is not much you can do as an offensive coordinator.

You have to at least assume a basic level of competency from the OL and that was just not here today.

I said if we scored. IF. And I was replying to the point that YOU brought up in the event that we scored and missed to two pointer. Christ man.
All you would have done is burnt precious time by getting the FG a little later. Man you have to explain everything to these guys... Needed that FG, very obvious.

are you glm?

You quoted me before saying I am assuming things and using hindsight and then posted a reply without a quote. I thought it was addressed to me. Sorry.

Those are not my words you damn liar. Go on, quote my exact post that said. Go through my post history and quite that exact post.
