That is what this team needs (other than o line). When white/Lewis are in, it's an obvious pass. When Blount/Jackson are in its obvious run. This offense becomes two predictable.

While an all pro like le'veon bell would be nice, they don't even need a player THAT good, I just feel like they need a complete running back that's multi-dimensional. I admire James white effort, but watching him try to run between the tackles is a joke

white shouldn't have been in the game as much as he was, if we wanted someone who was fast and can't bring in the ball we could have just put slater on the field.

bolden > white

White is our top pass catching back, it would be stupid to not have him in if we have a primarily passing game plan.

I love all the obscure "we need a..." threads that pop up after a loss.

Forte. Go get him Bill.

Another run of 3 SBs in 4 yrs awaits.

It doesn't matter if you can't block.

Lewis is a 3 down back. But, he's also fragile, so it would be wise to get another if possible. There may be some on the market this offseason.

What a crock. Shame on JM for how little White was used. Throw him the F'n ball in the flat where he has some space to make people miss. Instead he gets hand offs in traffic and until the end a single throw in traffic. F'm shame on the coaching staff for that blunder/non adjustment.
White was eating his coverage up (even with no calls for gross holding on him). Only at the end did we start throwing to White. Brady just missed him on several longer throws and didn't see him on others. Fyi, if Brady throws a dart to the pylon on the right and it would have been White in for the 2.

This game had some errors to disperse around for the players and coaches. But this loss was on Marcus Cannon and that appalling OL. What an embarssing performance - one of the worst performances by an OL in the playoffs I have seen. Enough with the 'this and that', this is the OL's loss IMHO....

I can't believe how bad cannon was. He needs cut.

Zeke Elliot. Too bad there is zero chance he's available where we are.

Don't care if it were Walter or Barry Sanders out there today that line has no frekin push.

Dion Lewis was playing like a 3-down back, if he's healthy and throw in Blount we have a nice running attack

Lewis is/was not a one-dimensional 3rd down back - they put him in for entire series. On running plays, he was running it up the gut and moving piles. Hope he comes back from the ACL tear, but he might never be the same.

Shoot, he'd have been long gone even if we had a 1st round pick. He'll almost certainly go in the top 10 picks, maybe in the 12-15 range at the very worst.

I agree with you that he's definitely the most complete and pro ready RB that is in the draft. His blitz pickup and ability to block for his receivers is second to none. Just amazing.

matt forte, marshawn lynch….

With whose money?

Those are RBs who would cost a minimum of 6-7m dollars a year, which is about 2.5x as much as we'd likely be willing to spend.

We need to sign another guy who's in FA at around 2m dollars MAX, as well as draft at least one RB in the spring.

Both Cannon and Fleming looked terrible. At the very least, one of them definitely needs to go. Either way you look at it, we need to improve upon the tackle depth/talent, and that can be done with a reasonable draft pick in the top 3 rounds.
