Ian Rapoport ✔ @RapSheet
What I'm told on #Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski: He did not receive any knee injections. He's been getting treatment & getting ready to play.

(Bold mine)

I don't know what to believe.

Team Rapoport all the way

While Rapoport has really improved his credibility the last couple of years, in a conflict between him and Schefter (plus Reiss) I'm going to believe Schefter until I have reason not to. I hope Rapoport is the one that's right though.

Pretty sure Reiss broke the story, schefter reported per Reiss.

Not at all.

People think if Maclin really has an ankle sprain that he would miss this game or if he plays be hobbled at best.

It was a tongue in cheek reference to the medical experts who constantly remind everyone how long a mild HAS will take to heal.

Apparently, Brady, Maclin, and even McCourty missed that memo, although McCourty's was probably a different grade.

If we know his knee is messed up (he DID miss two practices) why are we suddenly losing our **** over a potential extreme measure for treatment?

#InjectionGate

More like #aclgate in reference to Maclin. BB probably is pissing in Reid's cereal by the Gronk "reports". The Gronk injury looked bad on the field like Maclins. Difference is post game he was walking without a limp and reports came that it wasn't as bad as feared. Maclins looked bad, like Leveon Bell's in Pitt. To suddenly be somehwhat OK probably pisses BB off.

Remember things seem different this week. Boxing gloves, black eyes, etc.

Aren't Belichick and Reid good friends off the field? IIRC there was a draft when they had some fun trading a few late round picks a few years back... Perchance the injury report shenanigans between both clubs this week has transpired in a similar vein to that?

Maybe they're both right: ESPN isn't saying the injection was IN the knee.

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski spent part of Thursday in a Boston hospital getting treatment on his injured right knee which included an injection, according to a source familiar with the procedure.

Belichick and Reid are locked in an epic mind game. By Saturday, both will bench all of their starters just to prove to the other one they are willing to go that far.

Well, I'm going to the game and I'm going to see Rob Gronkowski playing. Hopefully the Pats win and we all get to see him play next week too. Meanwhile, the drama HERE will continue nonstop, fueled by the incessant media colon searching, as they attempt to construct any/every friggin' crybaby little girl story they can.

One thing for sure, there's quite a number of talented dramatists right here at Pats fans.

Oh god i hate the week of gossip leading up to playoff games

Well he must have done something.
