15 and 1.... 3rd seed possible

if we only lose to Denver... And Denver only loses to Bengals... And Bengals go 16-0 or 15-1 we would get 3rd seed at 15-1.
This is along the same lines of how I was thinking that the Patriots are 7-0, but don't control their own destiny with regards to HFA throughout. :D

I see the Bengals as possibly losing any of the following:

@ Arizona
vs. St. Louis
vs. Steelers
@Denver
Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if they lose tonight against Cleveland. Cincy is something ridiculous like 40-10 for games played Sunday at 1, then like 10-20 for all others. :D

My thoughts exactly. This is no cake walk for Broncos. Raiders are capable of pulling it off.
Something we have been saying for few yrs..just replace raiders with kc/chargers. Same thing people outside of NE must be saying about us ..with jets/bills/fins.

Anything is possible, but FWIW, only 6 franchises have ever posted a 15-1 record or better during the regular season. The odds of 3 of them doing it in the same conference in the same year is not something I'm worried about.

The Packers were the last team to win at least 15 games in a regular season, and that was 2011. Before them, the 2007 Patriots. Before them, the 2004 Steelers. So 3 teams in the past decade...3 teams in the same conference same year probably not something to get concerned about.

I will say this. The pats are the only team that can beat Denver. Pats and Denver could end 16-0 and 15-1 though, but still unlikely.

If GB beats Carolina and they both win all the rest of their games, then Carolina will be the #2 seed at 15-1, losing the H2H tiebreaker with the Packers.

Wouldn't losing to GB drop Carolina to 14-2?

Bengals beat Denver last year. Granted, they were at home, but they are playing much better this year.

Mannigs old arm will be rearing its head any week now.

This post is a waste of bandwidth. Three teams aren't going 15-1 and 14-2 will get a bye if not the #1 seed.

We could play many theoreticals that are far fetched, though it would be hard to match this one.

Something always happens to the other teams.

NE will beat Denver in a few weeks and never trust the Bengals.

As unlikely as that is, how messed up would it be to get the 3rd seed at 15-1, while in the same year the Colts host a playoff game by winning their division at 6-10.

like the year we went 11-5 with Brady out, missed the playoffs, and an 8-8 team qualified?

Man! cant we just enjoy every game as it comes ? 15-1, 16-0 , thats all we talk about .Who knows what will happen. God forbid pats lose a game, this board will combust calling everyone to be fired .

I'm sure that has already happened multiple times in the game threads.

The Bengals cant beat Denver? - In late December, outside, AT NIGHT when Manning will have another 7 games of wear on him?

The week before the Broncos are in Pittsburgh in the cold

Bengals look good. Complete team. That tight end of theirs is a monster. They will be a worthy opponent for either the Pats or Donks. I do see their coach blowing it come December in that Donks game though. NFC is WEAK. Look for a blowout win by the AFC whichever team makes it. Hopefully The Pats.
