if we only lose to Denver... And Denver only loses to Bengals... And Bengals go 16-0 or 15-1 we would get 3rd seed at 15-1.

As unlikely as that is, how messed up would it be to get the 3rd seed at 15-1, while in the same year the Colts host a playoff game by winning their division at 6-10.

Need to take care of business. Need to keep pace with the bungles and donkeys. I will be a browns and dolts fan this week

Three Teams in the AFC are going to have very good Records 13-3 could earn you the 3rd Seed.o_O I hope we get the #1 Seed when it shakes out. Denver's Schedule with that Defense is not daunting at all. Cincinnati's could lose two @ Cardinals @ Broncos. For our Patriots the two games that worries me are @ Denver and @ Jets later in the year. Not worried about @ Giants who's Defense cannot stop anybody.

Is this a continuation of the joke from the other thread?

I'll play your little game. If Carolina wins out, they'll be the #1 seed whether it's real life or the delusional 7-0 universe. GB would have 2 losses because they play each other. I believe it is impossible for the 2 seed in the NFC to be 15-1 now.

Bengals are not going 16-0 or 15-1 just stop with that lol. They lose to Arizona, Broncos, and probably Steelers and maybe one surprise loss.

I suppose it could happen.

After Pats vs Broncos Week 12, These are their remaining games.
I Luv our chances for Home Field Throughout if both undefeated.

PATS:

Eagles
@ Texans
Titans
@ jets*
@ Dolphins

Broncos:

@ Chargers
Raiders
@ Steelers.
Bengals
Chargers

Not going to happen of course, but if the Bengals were to go 15-1 the Pats wouldn't automatically be the 3rd seed--it would get into the tie-breaking weeds.

Well, it's just idle, theoretical thinking, right? No Harm, I reckon.

I've long found it fascinating that it's possible to go 20-0: All it would take is three 16-0 Teams in the same Conference: One of those 3 would have to play the Wild Card Round, based on some dumb-@$$ TieBreaker, and Voila!! We have the Potential for a 20-0 Season, if they Sweep the Table!! :D

Of course the Odds against there being 3 16-0 Teams in one Conference in the same Year are probably about a Billion to 1 or so, not least because the good Teams often play each other, but it's a fun Notion!! :D

You can't have 3 16-0 teams in the same conference because...math.

Four divisions in each conference...each team plays the other three teams in their division twice, so you can't have 2 16-0 teams in the same division. And each division plays every team in one other conference division.

The most you could possibly have in a conference are two 16-0 teams.

I agree there is a good chance they lose to Arizona and Broncos. Not sure about the Steelers since they just beat them on the road.

Idiot Sleeves Murray started the "I don't want the Patriots to go 16-0 - I can't take it!" crap on 98.5 last week after crushing Miami. I kind of agreed with the scally cap wearing azzhat. But then I thought about it....this season, with all the terrible football and coaching, a 15-1 or 14-2 might be playing on wildcard weekend. It is a distinct possibility. Other than home vs NE, their only other difficult game is @ Pit. If Denver manages to beat NE, I can realistically see them going undefeated.

Denver plays NO cold weather games other than @Pit. @ Chi on 11/22 "could" be cold, but do you honestly see Jay Cutler having success vs Denver's defense? They finish at home vs Cin & SD. Before people start with the cold in Denver talk, it's more likely to be 50 and sunny than freezing cold.

This talk is not nonsense - we're thinking about playoff positioning here, and we all know Denver away is a different animal than Denver home.

I look at Cin schedule & @Ari and @Den are liklely losses for them. I'm willing to bet they finish 14-2.

There's two really cold months of football left. Anything can and will happen.

Lets just hope that the Pats have a healthy team going into Denver.......Can't go in there and expect to win unless they are at least 95% healthy........100% ready to go and I would put my money on Pats.....:)

I just want HFA ( I want a SB but that is not the point). So I dont care if its 16-0 that does it or 12-4.

Also, I cant see Denver going 16-0. Some tough games coming up and Manning is going to have a tough time in the cold worn down from a long season.
