You have two teams that won games this weekend, The patriots and the Panthers.

in one game, the patriots didn't get a call when the jags qb fumble/incomplete pass turned a 4th and long into a first down for the jags. BB challenged the play but it was upheld, After the game BB said the refs made a good call, and that he needs to coach better.

In the other game, Cam got pushed a little and asked for a personal foul be called, he didn't get it. Now hes complaining in the media.

Such an unlikable player. Always complaining about something.

Cam needs to write to Roger...see if he has anything on that team and they can get things going. However, Roger probably isn't interested in teams that are not winning all the time. o_O

McCown got it called from an almost identical situation earlier in the game so I can understand the frustration. And, if Hochuli really said what he claims than I can understand him being pissed off.

I actually quite like Cam. He plays hard for his team and can be exciting to watch. There was also the car accident last year where he didn't make too much fuss and tried to get back for his team as soon as possible. He can be overly emotional at times but he also seems like a decent guy ( laptops notwithstanding :D).

People here are really scraping the barrels looking for things to be pissed about, especially with regards to anyone/anything involved in deflategate.

It's so bad that, if a Democrat said something bad about deflategate, we might even see a Republican win a non-governor race in the state of Massachusetts.

Seems like a common enough occurrence on forum boards to complain about someone complaining about someone complaining....

It is what it is, so it's not really something to complain about as much as it is something to note. People are so pissed about deflate gate that they are hypersensitive, even by the already normally hypersensitive Patsfans.com standards.

In that vein, I wonder if Newton burned some bridges and earned some enmity from the refs.....and whether he definitely doesn't get the close calls now..If he thought Hoculi said it, you bring it up to the league and Blandino, not the media and show the ref up......rookie move..

i feel like we've seen the pats criticize refs before

It's against the rules to complain about the refs. He should be getting fined soon.

It's ok to be pissed off (though in this case it is a childish overreaction to what was likely light-hearted banter), but not to express it to the media.

So Cam should be reprimanded, but won't. The NFL is completely selective in its application of the rules. It will take minor issues and blow them up into mountains of importance and misguided sting operations if it is the Patriots. Other teams/players: crickets.

After the refs gift wrapped a game for the Panthers against the Patriots in 2013, Newton shouldn't have a single complaint about them for his entire career.

The ref was just jealous: he wanted to give Gronk a hug in the end-zone.

Might as well be named the Carolina Newtons since Newton only gives a **** about winning for his own self branding

I Ed really said that to Cam he has every right to be pissed off. Cam is in the right here.

I am a firm believer in any sport players/coaches/owners should be able to criticize refs after games. They are all subject to have to meet the media after games and answer questions about calls etc. So Refs should be held accountable in person and have to answer just like everyone else in the game.

Also its going to be a long 2 weeks.

When was the last time this team had an early bye like this? How did they do afterwards

Seems to me people are commenting without knowing what was happened and since it hasn't been explicitly stated in the thread I will spell it out for ya:

Newton was looking for a roughing call and Ed Houculi told him he wasn't old enough to get that call.

I think Newton has every right to be pissed off about that comment and as someone who wants the league to get as much bad press as possible I'd like to see us Pats fans get behind Cam and use this as a way to blast the league ....... AgeGate any one? My anonymous sauces tell me this happens frequently
