Disclaimer: This thread and the opinions within are lighthearted and should not be taken too seriously. I understand that the season is only two weeks old and a lot can change between now and later in the season and into the playoffs. Be advised that these are just my opinions from a layman's view.

So, here we go (in no particular order)

  • - NE and GB are the class of the NFL and, therefore, look like the two best teams in the league
  • - Peyton Manning is done (this will probably make the list every week)
  • - What is going on in Seattle? (could it be another case of once you lose to the Pats, you start a downward spiral)
  • - The Colts suck - Soft, still can't stop the run, what happened to all those offensive weapons?
  • - We may have overrated the Bills to this point (see previous bullet)
  • - Andrew Luck might be overrated at this point in his career (this can change obviously)
  • - Rex looks like he will find a way to blow the talent he has in Buffalo
  • - Mallet might have some game after all
  • - Baltimore says if you can't beat 'em, join 'em after complaining all off season about how the Pats used an illegal formation
  • - The Eagles suck
  • - The Bears suck
  • - The Giants suck

Feel free to add to the list, ladies and gents. Again, this is partly just me fooling around with some thoughts on the league so far. Everything in the league is week-to-week, so a lot can obviously change.

Defensive tackles are overpriced.

The Giants should be 2-0. So I guess you can say they played well--for the most part.

Seattle has a nearly sexless schedule from here on, and I expect they will still make the playoffs at something like 11-5.

I don't know what to make of these Eagles.

And the Jets---gotta have the most laid back coach in the NFL. What a contrast to RR. Of course, once the Jets lose, he might wake up--and then may the team sort of fall asleep.

Did we watch the same Ryan Mallet?

The one I watched had poor touch and accuracy.

The Jets have a ton of talent....but Fitzy at QB. At some point, he'll end their season with a foolish interception into triple coverage. It's what he does.
As far as their D goes, I'm glad the Pats will have ample film on Bowles' blitz schemes before they face off. I expect to see a drop-off in the second half of the season once opponents start exploiting the holes created by that aggressive approach.

The Colts can win their division at 7-9, so they shouldn't be too concerned

Dallas can win their division at 9-7, and I think Weeden can guide them there.

The Steelers offense is deadly. They're a 20+ yard pass play machine.

The Bengals are teasing everyone again.

The Cards had a legit shot at winning the West last season before Palmer went down. They'll give the Seahawks all they can handle.

I never watched the whole game. I caught some of the first quarter and part of the third. From what I saw, he did not look half bad. Pardon if I was wrong.

We learned that Pats fans are almost as bad as everyone else at buying into Rex's soliloquy's
