Any chance after today the judge decides to cancel further meetings and just makes a ruling?

I think Kessler is handling things perfectly. He is conceding a few points as possible and being REASONABLE. Now compare that to d***head Nash who was a smarmy a**hole.

I would venture to guess Jeffrey Kessler and Donald Yee won't be dining together anytime soon.
I guess it might have been precalculated what they are going to concede to show good faith.

Seems like Berman is letting Kessler speak (and not cutting him off). Could mean he is more receptive to the NFLPA's arguments.

Best Kessler quote: "Maybe if my grandmother had wheels she’d be a trolleycar!"

LOL
AMC needs to get Kessler a show during Better Call Saul downtime.

or that Kessler actually has more to say than 'the cba allows Goodell to do whatever he wants'

Kessler isn't being a slimy jackass like Nash too which will look better for the judge.

Who knows.

Even if not, I think it could be a reasonable play. Given that Nash just went up there and basically said "it doesn't matter what you or I think, it matters what Goodell thinks and the Supreme Court agrees with me so you can **** off", it can't hurt their standing in the judge's eyes to act reasonably, actually answer his questions, and concede a few areas where Brady might have misstepped.

I don't like the way Kessler is getting all worked up. It could make him look unprofessional to the judge. We all understand the cause to get more than a little emotional about this, but the lawyer in charge of making all this go away should probably be a bit more reserved.

PFT: Survey finds most NFL players think Brady's suspension is too harsh

But but but but but but I thought most NFL players don't support their union defending that dastardly cheater Brady....

Keep in mind that this isn't meant to allow Kessler to rehash all the strongest points he brought into the case in his brief, which the judge has already read. The judge is questioning both the NFL and NFLPA on their weakest points to see how each side can address those weaknesses. If Kessler is even able to come up with fairly reasonable answers to these questions, that is a pretty good thing. Fighting with the judge over the entire premise of his line of questions probably isn't the best way to address those perceived weaknesses.

Well, I think that went very well for Brady. But who the hell knows.

court adjourned. Kessler will file opposition brief Friday.
