Freeman: Goodell will Hear Brady's Appeal

Speculation from Albert on Comcast is that Goodell may offer Brady a deal and reduce to 2 games for not cooperating and drop the cheating charge. Bet that will taste reeeeeeeeeeeeal good after Tom has been smeared from coast to coast over the past week and going forward for being a cheater.

Hope Tom does not take any deal....make it all or nothing Tom.
Can you elaborate on what "drop the cheating charge" means?

Of course he won't. A 2 game difference is nothing compared to the slander Brady has undergone. Either it's all reversed or it goes to court.

So he overturns completely, and gets ridiculed.
Or he sticks to his guns (potentially with a one or two game suspension), loses in court and is ridiculed.

If he really is going to be the "independent" arbitrator...well, it will be great fun watching his and Well's behavior ruled against in court.

Who didn't see this coming? Like I said this is Goodells finest moment. No way in hell he is let it slip away. All those counter claims by Bradys lawyers are complete useless now, at least in the appeal process anyway.

Jeff Kessler is not brought in if you want to reduce a suspension. He is brought in when you are looking to get it completely overturned.

I posted this before, goodell is drawn to making poor decisions like a moth is drawn to a flame, its like he can't help himself. He will reduce it to two and brady will bring it to court and crush goody like a bug. I actually like this, i get to watch goodell get embarrassed, and maybe fired.

This pretty much ensures Brady will have to take the NFL to court and will probably miss the 4 games while waiting for that to take place.

Right??
edit: apparently not.
Hopefully.

Better watch out! If Goodell gets shot tomorrow and Wells is on the case, he'll find it's `more probable than not` that Chiuba E. Obele was responsible!

WHY DID HE POST THAT GIF IF HE'S SO INNOCENT, HUH?

lol Shooting? Why, who said anything about shooting? I'm just a spectator to a legal showdown that's about to happen. No one is going to be the same after this

*takes out popcorn*

Right??

No, he will take out an injunction first so the suspension can't be enforced until a court hearing is completed.

Right??
No. The suspension will be delayed until the matter is settled.

Goodell rips off his mask during the hearing and is actually Ernie Adams, revealing himself as belichicks deepest mole in the NFL front offices, completely lifting the suspension and giving us 3 first round picks

Brady's legal counsel never gave any counter claims.

Hahaha, he's practically making the Pats' court case for them. I love it.

The smart move would have been to send it away because Roger could deny he was involved with the complaint, the investigation, the report and the punishment. Now he can't.

Right??

no. The first thing they will get is an immediate stay which will prevent the NFL from imposing any punishment until the court renders a verdict.

NFLN is confirming that Goodell will indeed be hearing the appeal.
