Looks like KT also made it to AZ..

I hope we can sign him back in the offseason. KT is a great story and had a great chemistry with Brady. I was shocked when he was let go, because Brady had been saying stuff that made it sound like they had a route running/timing mind-meld almost like he had with Branch.

Yeah, I was surprised he was let go too. If the decision involved Lafell at all I have to give the benefit of the doubt to BB, though. I wish Thomkins well, he worked hard.

So he was let go again and is available? Always liked the guy & hated to see him cut.

I'd be VERY happy to see him back in the fold.

Can he walk out on the Raiders like Blount did Steelers so we can sign him again?

Both Dobson and White are members of the Patriots. I don't get the logic that if they get rings that Tompkins deserves one too. The Pats cut Tompkins and he was picked up by another team. I would like to see him get a ring since he was on the team this year, but the logic that if Dobson and White get one that KT deserves one too is not logical.

BTW, I think people overrate Tompkins. He is the WR version of Jonas Gray.

I think he gets one because he was on the team for the first quarter this season. Or on the pats roster to start the season I think that qualifies.

But Everyone on the practice squad, IR and on the pats 53 roster get a ring. Also all coaches.

Respect. I didn't even think about it, but maybe. I just wonder if that makes any sense, though. I know Brady spoke very highly of him, and so did Bill a few times, but what he flashed in practices rarely showed up on the field. What else can we really say about him other than the Saints catch? As special as that moment was, and I was going bananas when it happened, that was so long ago. In fact, he had a steep drop that season, whether due to injury or just inconsistency.

I have to believe we have what we need at the position, especially considering we're playing tomorrow. He was a feel good story that will probably never really become much in the league. LaFell was great. Edelman is just a baller. Amendola showed that he can make plays, and I think the Pats would welcome him back with opened arms if he will agree to a pay cut (though I doubt he would). I just think we have what we need for now, and though I would welcome any improvement to the team, I just don't think KT would bring anything but a marginal return on investment.

It is at the club digression to give guys like Tompkins a ring. They have given players cut a ring in the past. But they haven't always done that. I would like to see KT get a ring especially since the Pats never really intended to get rid of him but try to sneak him through waivers. I am just saying the OP's logic is flawed.

he dropped too many passes and couldn't get open enough.

^^^ Yup. No consistency. I believe he also started to get banged up a lot toward the end of the season two seasons ago. They said he beefed up during the off season, but again, it just never translated in games. I like the kid, but his ship here as likely sailed.

A few developmental guys have briefly gone to other teams before latching onto the Patriots for good. The ones I'm thinking of are Troy Brown and Stephen Neal.
