They're already saying how much better Rodgers' calf is this week, as opposed to last.

By the time SB49 comes in almost 3 weeks, he'll be in much better shape and practically fine. Hell, aside from not running as much, he looked just fine last week vs. Dallas.

Who's "they?" Rodgers himself said his calf was worse at the end of the cowboys gwme. He obviosly took some sort of injection at halftime thst probably wore off by the end of the cowboys game.

There is a reason why they play a simple defense , and it is because their player's are really good and can beat you with you knowing their scheme. Have you seen their D line and our O line. I'm not saying we can't score but to say we are going to be easily in the 20's is crazy.

As for Wilson and the run game that is easier said that done.

So maybe the Pats can squeak out 3 field goals maybe?

if you play bend but don't break against Rodgers he will eat us alive, against Seattle on the other hand I think we can contain then under 20.

Seattle is a better match up in my humble opinion.

You may find that if we make it to the SB that Amendola may be leaned on alot. I hope we are underdogs so I won't be so disappointed if we lose

I want the Pack to lose to Seattle and I think they will. Dallas had their number and it will the time for Seattle to get it done. I am not afraid of Seattle. I know they have each others back and are strong but my team has gotten this far so I am proud of them and being a Pats fan. I am in NJ right now and I wear my Pats cap daily and with lots of pride and get lots of comments all I say is your team playing in the playoffs.

The fact that there is 2 weeks between the AFCCG and the Super Bowl means Bb will have plenty of time to scheme for whoever gets in on the NFC side should we make it

Seems to me the Seahawks have given up quite a few TD's to TE's, from the highlights of them I have been watching this year...may be a good match up....we have some serious unfinished business to get to first and foremost....

Exactly .. Gates took their lunch .. Olsen hit em for a few seams as well .. Cam had no help, game was a nail biter in the 4th until Cam became Cam ..lol

I've gone back and forth on this and I'll be rooting for the Packers. I hope it's a competitive game regardless to help pass the time till the Pats game starts, or else it's going to be a long afternoon.

If it is the Seahawks and the Patriots who indeed advance, then I will be interested to see how Quinn decides to cover Gronk.

My initial thought is they try to get Kam Chancellor on #87, but IIRC the Seahawks play primarily a Robber with a deep safety (Earl Thomas).

Chancellor usually patrols the area closer to the LOS, so they are probably going to jam or hit Gronk off the line and/or within 5 yards to disrupt the timing with Brady.

A free release and Gronk could be running open down the seam quite often, and the Seahawks have had trouble defending tight ends this year. The odds are not in their favor if this happens frequently.

Doubtless, it would be a very intriguing matchup to watch unfold.

Packers for me.

I haven't seen a GB-NE Super Bowl since I was 6 years old. And that one didn't turn out very well...

I want the Packers. If we win I want them to to see the best 2 QBs go at it in the SB if we don't make it I want them over Indy and I would want Indy over Seattle. I also have lots of friends who are Packers and they are no where near as insufferable at the Seattle fans I know.

I just want the Patriots to take care of business this Sunday and play the winner of the NFC. Don't care who it is, both pose their own problems.

Seattle has no receivers worth mentioning. All we would have to worry about is stopping the run and containing Wilson.

I don't know, I think we match up well. The only downside to Seattle making it is they will probably have something of a home field advantage since it's on the West coast.

Either way, I think Patriots should win as things are now

I refuse to root for anyone. If I do, and they end up beating us in the SB, then i will feel a right plank

This is exactly why I prefer Seattle over GB. Seattle doesn't scheme. They don't bother- Carroll has always had a "This is who we are, beat us if you can" philosophy, especially on defense. That will be their achilles heel. If they get caught with their pants down scheme-wise, odds are against them adjusting well enough, and in time, because that is historically something they just aren't known for doing.

McCarthy is nearly as savvy a schemer as BB is. He knows how to switch around his personnel and formations.

I see a lil Mike Martz from Pete .. Like you mentioned .."This is what we do" .. Cover 3 .. ha

It would kill me to lose to Sherman + Rodgers is now where near 100% = Easy choice

I think GB out of Lambeau is the easier matchup. That said it would be great to beat the Hawks because it's another example of Peyton getting his lunch handed to him the year before Tom helps beat them.

The thing that killed the Pats in 2012 in Seattle was the they bogged down in the red zone, they couldn't run, Brady threw a bad pick and Butterfingers and a pass pop off his hands for a pick inside the 5 yard line. Brady actually threw for almost 400 yards. Seattle's DL isn't as stout against the run without Mebane but our running game probably isn't as good minus Mankins (2012 version not stirring up the trade) and with Stork possibly out. So they would probably look to beat them through the air again.
