I agree. But the "I'll comment on that later" thing is curious.

Mike Petraglia is speculating that a player did in fact mouth off to McDaniels and SMY's source gave here the wrong player. And Belichick will be announcing the player and discipline later.

It was Brady, he'll be a healthy inactive this week.

BB offering a tease...."Stay tuned for further developments." ....
A page right out of the Red Sox PR manual.....Any news, good news or bad news, keeps the fan interested.
It worked......my day is now ruined wondering what will be behind curtain #3. That BB.....always playing chess.

So...is it Dobson and Vellano for JJ Watt and Andre Johnson because O'Brien fells bad about not giving up that 1st round pick for Mallett? ;)

In all seriousness though, I hope he isn't being cut/traded/put on IR.

If KT was mouthing off to Mcdaniels that might make more sense. Dobson might just not be healthy. Either way, when can we expect this announcement?

BB's future announcement is going to be "We're focused on Cincy right now and we put the best players per our gameplan out there".

Whatever happens please do not cut ties with Dobson. He has showed the ability to see the field as Tom does. That's worth something.

He's either going to IR or getting cut (which would fly in the face of Belichick saying him being inactive was a football decision and not a punishment) and all the Tyms fanboys will get their wish. But they better be prepared for Tyms to get flamed when he he is a gameday inactive or sees little to no snaps and contributes nothing in those snaps.

Dobson and Thompkins are both at practice, so I think we can rule out any comments from Belichick that have either of those no longer on the active roster.

While everyone sits on pins and needles and waits with baited breath... do not see BB disclosing a lot of information and specifics about Aaron Dobson..

What else could it be? Neither have been limited at practice due to injury right? It makes no sense...

yeah, he wouldn't decide to cut a players and practice him. If he was getting traded, he would not be practicing too. You don't want to risk him getting injured in either situation.

It's belichick.. How can you say that?

belicheck cutting Dobson who then would probably go on and be successful with another team would just be another slap in the face to brady

the patriot way!!

In Bills view, evidently, Amendola was > Dobson or Thompkins (not to mention Boyce). Hopefully they can all improve, but no denying the talent has been disappointing.
I agree. But, even if Amendola is considered to be much more valuable on Game Day, one of KT or Dobson should have been active.

However, I don't want to see only 3 WR's active. Our base set is 3 WR and 1 TE. After all, we need to have a player available in case of injury. As it was, Wright was our #4 WR. I understand that the plan could have bee to run more 2 RB or 3 TE sets (until the game got out of hand). However, even in that case, we still would run lots of 3 WR sets.

The OPEN question for me is why wasn't Thompkins active. He has to be better than NOBODY at backup WR.

Agreed. Belichick wants CIN to prepare for both Dobson and Thompkins, no matter what the situation is.
