It means you don't have to care.Having that much dough means never having to say you're embarrassed.
I don't see what money has to do with it. But obviously, he isn't feeling compelled to rein himself in.Having that much dough means never having to say you're embarrassed.
Except for our closest loved ones and the values we hold highest, money pretty much has everything to do with everything. We all assign money a place in our lives and, to coin a phrase, it doesn't buy happiness, but people with a lot of money don't really care that much whether most of us find their behavior "embarrassing."I don't see what money has to do with it. What a bizarre perspective, I almost feel sorry for you. I know plenty of folks who are dirt poor, eccentric and flamboyant as hell, and don't give a flying fluck what ANYBODY thinks of them. Money doesn't buy the ability to not care what others think of your behavior.money pretty much has everything to do with everything. ... people with a lot of money don't really care that much whether most of us find their behavior "embarrassing."

Are we somehow supposed to care about that guy or others like him? He doesn't own the Patriots, hold public office or otherwise manage a position of public trust. On the other hand, we have our Bob and goofballs like Irsay and this fellow below. Unfortunately, having money and a position of influence can lead to tremendous public embarrassment when one behaves like a drunk teenager.Tell that to Dan Bilzerian. I'm sure that not a single **** is given in his daily life. And if you don't know who Dan Bilzerian is, I highly... HIGHLY recommend checking out his Instagram page or at least Googling him. But don't do it while you're at work because you'll probably have to retire to the restroom for about 15 minutes.

I don't "care so much." I simply said Bob's second childhood is a bit embarrassing (less so than jokers like Jones, of course). It shouldn't be hard for you to see why, but then you're a twentysomething so your standards of public decorum likely draw from a different perspective. You seemed like you wanted an example of where having tons of money buys you the ability to not GAF about what others think. I gave you Dan Bilzerian (you're welcome, by the way). The real question here is why are you more embarrassed about Kraft and Jones' behavior than they are? Why do you care so much?
Why do you care so much?

If your point is to show that money buys the ability to not care what others think, I'm still waiting for an example. Bilzerian is a rich hedonist who doesn't care what others think. I know several poor hedonists who don't care what others think. How much money one has makes no difference.
As I said, why this example doesn't apply to the concept of "public embarrassment" is because he's responsible only for himself.I gave you one. Bilzerian recently went on Stern and explained that his "Daily *****" posts on Facebook were condemned by his publicist because it would scare off potential sponsors. Bilzerian basically responded that he doesn't care because he already has money and is going to do what he wants. How you're missing this point is beyond me.
That was my primary point. But I do agree with you that the amount of money one has makes no difference when it comes to whether or not they care what people think.
I don't feel that strongly about Bob's undignified silliness. But when you combine the whole ball of wax -- his December-May romance, the "audition" video, hobnobbing with rap stars, proving to be rhythmically challenged, etc. -- with things like the end zone lounge fiasco and needing an NFL team in London by 2020, you start to wonder if the man's gone a bit loopy.I just still can't wrap my head around why your more embarrassed about Kraft's behavior than he is. Who cares? His wife died a couple of years ago and he's found a new youth and isn't afraid to show it. Who gives a **** if the guy dances badly at a HOF induction or makes a weird video with his girlfriend?
Please explain. It gives him a chance to use his favorite gavel.

Having wealth and assets, on the other hand, practically requires a certain conventionality in behavior without which you're put at risk for losing them.
