Maybe Belichick might just say, at this point I've had enough. He's got nothing left to prove.
Maybe he didn't catch Shula in wins but he kicked his ass when it comes to Super Bowl Championships.

Bill should go enjoy his boat, polish his rings and if he missed football he could always be an analyst. Who knows, he could be another John Madden.

Bill is a single 70 y/o man whose life is football, whose sons are coaches. It’s pretty much everything, there’s no way he is just retiring.

Only read the transcripts and didn’t see it; but I had the feeling it TRULY was mutual;

that both would have LIKED to continue the relationship; but BOTH also KNEW WHAT THEY WANTED; and it was NOT THE SAME THING.

I wish BB well. Hope he gets another ring somewhere.

I won’t watch his new team’s games per se; … but I am likely to watch his press conferences lol

and I will really miss the Belestrator. But after a 4-13 season I kind of got weaned off it.
