Terrible play from the O-line. What a surprise.

And is anyone else NOT bothered by Talib at all? We need that edge on defense. Lots of physicality and hard play. Make their WRs scared to catch across the middle.

I think people are overrating the poor play of the d-line. Considering the Panthers are the type of d-line that gives the Pats' oline and Brady fits, they haven't been that bad. Yes, there have been some really bad plays by them, but Brady has had time to throw on most of his passes.

Also, I don't mind Talib playing with an edge, but he was being a arse. Playing with an edge can help your team have swagger. Being an arse, will get you ejected from the game.

All comes back to Belichick....bad drafting.. and poor coaching....OL hasn't been good for years. Mankins got his retirement package and he has checked out...I think the injuries have been tough too....but wow....McD can't find ANY way to sprink Gronk tonight....I am shocked that he has been invisible....

Gronk is active?!?!?

So against a dominant front 7 and suspect secondary, our gameplan was to slow play it, and grind it out?

I have never seen such a stupid post, but wait, its the game day thread!!!!

If you never has seen such a stupid post, you haven't been in many game day threads.

Chandler Jones is 5th in the league in sacks.

I don't expect a BB coached team to play the stupid again in the 2nd half. As PP2 said, most of the 22 are heads up. The few need to get their heads straight and get down to the business of playing football.

Dumb personal fouls are totally different from being tough.

Some asked question how Panthers would respond to prime-time stage. Turns out it's been Patriots who have been the more rattled team.

Have to give credit to Panthers. They've kept their cool, haven't backed down, and making plays in critical situations. Still anyone's game.

Patriots -1 in turnover department and have 4 penalties for 45 yards. Feels like they're lucky to be only down by 7.

Not a surprising game, knew this was going to be a battle... more mental mistakes than expected from a BB team. But we are only down by 7 and get the ball to start 2nd half.

I can only believe BB wanted to get in the locker room to regroup so he did not want to use timeouts. But it would have been nice to see what Edleman could have done.

Gronk is blocking to make up for our poverty o-line.

And as for McD, I'm more bothered by his play calling on that Ridley fumble. Brady was carving them up in the passing game and we decide to run for the 2nd time in a row in the red-zone??????

itd be tied or better, if it wasnt for two stupid plays.

Edge and physicality are good. But you have to be smart about it.

Talib is just losing it mentally and he's getting beat. I think he's a good CB, but I think people have been too quick to appoint him greatest cb in the game and it's showing tonight.

Did anyone actually SEE Mankins penalty? The horrible camera work of ESPN couldn't be bothered to re-show it.

That actually is not true we have thrown it 17 times and ran it 12. We actually had a good half of football offensively if not for the mistakes – Brady was 14/17 for 123 passing yards.

I hate seeing Ridley benched, but Blount is actually a lot better than people give him credit for.

I have no clue what BB should do with Ridley. You want to show confidence in him but his last fumble cost us points. It is going to be interesting to see how long he rides the pine.
