Broncos: Easiest path to the #1 seed ever?

Honestly the Broncos fan base is awful, nearly as bad as the Jets. Their whole awful attitude regarding how Elway was the GOAT (not even top 10). Then falling in love with Tebow and now loving Manning. UGH...

I hope the Pats go down there and crush them.

Listening to Mike Francesa today, says Pats have no chance to win in denver because Denver defense is better and Von miller is ready to explode in the playoffs and with that altitude and crowd its impossible to beat them

We'll see if they make it that far.

That altitude and that crowd were there last year in that regular season game.

But francesa is a known pats/kraft/belichick hater. So I wouldn't expect anything else.

Their defense is playing awesome holding their opponents to 5+ ppg below their season average over the past 8 games. However there D does not match up well against our offense. BTW Chris Harris was one hell of an UDFA find.

As we all know the only way you are going to slow down Brady is by getting pressure up the middle and they simply don't do that. They are an edge rushing team. I don't see Vickerson/Banaan/Brookings getting much push and pressure in the middle. Then they have to contend with Gronk and Hernandez, how do they answer that? If they put Miller on one of them then they lose their best pass rusher, if they put Woodyard on one of them they will eat him a live.

Then ol' Jack will have to figure out who to roll his safeties to? Do you leave Bailey out on an island with Lloyd and roll your safeties over Gronk and Hernandez? Great, that leaves Welker one on one out of the slot 15 catches for 180 yards. Put Bailey on Welker one on one and keep a single high safety and double team Gronk? Great Welker stays off the line and comes out of the bunch to avoid Bailey's contact at the LOS and only has 6 catches for 60-80 yards. Meanwhile Hernandez is kicking their ass up and down the field and Lloyd catches a few. Stay in Nickel to stop the bleeding here comes Ridley/Woodhead/Vereen and possibly Boldin to run it down your throat against and even smaller defensive alignment.

I'm actually going to root for Houston to beat the Bengals, solely because if they do, then this threat will die the death it should have had 30 pages ago, a day earlier Then Pats fans will get down to the business of discussing the Texans, and Donkey fans can.....do what ever they do.

The Colts are the best draw for the Pats, but one advantage of playing the Texans is we can finally get back to talking with a rival fan base, that can actually discuss the game rationally. A skill only 2 out of 10 Bronco fans can manage.

The problem with your post is the first five words of the post. You do realize that listening to Francesa can lower your IQ. He is so monotonous that he even puts himself to sleep.

I agree this thread needs to die. The Pats may not even play the Broncos again until next year.

But I disagree with you about rooting for the Texans. The Bengals are the only team that can knock off the Broncos in the Division Round IMHO. They might have won in the regular season if they didn't give up an 105 yard kick off return for TD and they seem to be best matched to attack the Broncos' weaknesses. If the Broncos lose next weekend, this thread dies just as easily.

Vollmer was a game-time decision for two games, against Denver and the first time against Miami. He got destroyed both games, by Miller and then Wake. Against Miami the second time, when he was healthier, he completely shut down Wake. Assuming Vollmer doesn't have a setback between now and then, I'd expect him to do the same to Miller.

Stevan Ridley: 151 yards against Denver (Career High)

Denver is getting nowhere if they can't even stop the running game, this is without the Gronk/Hernandez factor that wasn't part of the 1st game.

Not to mention Dennard/Talib at corner with McCourty at safety as opposed to Sterling Moore/McCourty with Chung at safety.

I don't have a problem with the thread as long we can keep it the talk related to actual football. I think its highly likely that these two will meet in AFCCG and its a bye week of course Manning could go with his one and done percentage and/or the Pats could pull a 2010. Either way there is not much else to talk about until we find out who the opponent will be for next week. Why not indulge in some Belichick forbidden discussion of looking ahead? :D

You know how 4 out of 5 dentists agree on something being good for your teeth?

That other guy is probably a *bronco's fan.

Well, don't you think fans of a team whose mascot is a horse and most famous player ever is John Elway, would know something about teeth (large ones) ?

Having watched the Jags since they were the Jags, I have a very hard time believing that Del Rio became a better defensive coordinator after losing his HC job than he was before he got it. I don't think JDR ever beat BB's offense. That right there is a win for the Pats.
The only thing that worries me is the 50-75 yard PI's that Manning gets when the D has him figured out.

Just like Joe Flacco. Only difference is that Flacco does it all the time.

Yep and the Giants had no chance to beat NE in the 2007 SB. I hate dumb ass "professional" sports personalities who spout ridiculous comments. Denver lost to NE when the Pats did not even have their true double TE formations. Now we'll have those and a better Lloyd. Good luck stopping the offense!

UGH

I have no desire to see the patriots play denver in denver. That is a game that scares the crap out of me.

Yeah, but how sweet would it be to get into the superbowl by beating a Manning? On the other hand, losing again to a Manning would make me lose it...

Agreed but "no chance" is a strong statement.

But now we have a legit SB Defense and Tom Brady who wants another Ring on his reusme.
