Still think Seattle's 12th man should get the cover :D

Oh... they didn't make it through!

If professional football players need a Madden cover based off a feel good story to be motivated they're probably on the same path as the 2008 Lions.
While logically that would make sense, think back to Rodney Harrison and his first few years with the Pats; he was constantly getting fired up with a 'they don't respect us' stance even though the Pats were 14-2. Another example would be how Belichick played that same disrespect in the AFCCG against Pittsburgh when it was reported that Cowher had told the Steelers to make Super Bowl plans before the game against the Pats.

I know it sounds silly but players and coaches do use things like this as extra motivation. Why provide your opponents with that additional ammunition?

Regardless, at this point Woodhead has beaten Buffalo's Steve Johnson in the second round, and is now one of 16 finalists.

God i hope it's revis or sanchez

Can't imagine why a Pats' fan would want him on that stupid game. No good could come of it.

It can't be Revis, he's not an eligible candidate.

You don't really seem to understand, what's the harm in voting for Woodhead in the first couple of rounds, it's good to show how much we support our team. I mean just the other day, someone posted a thread saying supposedly "Pats fans, were the most loyal fans right?" Well this shouldn't be a problem right?

You act like it's a sin to be on the cover, it's a once in a lifetime opportunity. It's one thing to be superstitious, it's another to believe in curses all around. Do you know how many players get hurt in this league a year? Too many, which take part in some kind of celebrity act or another.

The Saints won the super bowl AND Brees was on the cover, they had the worst record in all of football, oh wait, no they didn't, they made the playoffs.

The "madden curse" is coincidences that people recognize only because of it's past. I mean, coming from someone who has spent way to much time playing madden, and on madden forums, I could break down every player on the cover and explain different scenario's to you that would make sense on player's "cursed" years. Not ALL but a large chunk.

It's just funny how heavily the media has influenced this "curse" and people tend to believe them. It's also funny how many fans here claim how bad the media is, yet listen to them on the most absurd topics.

Anyway, please vote Woodhead! It will be a sad day to see him beat by Hakeem Knicks, I don't see him even beating Rodgers next round anyway unless he gains MASSIVE fan support. Unless he gets matched up with Bradford, then things will get interesting!

Please. How can you make any rational evaluation on anything, given your fear of voodoo, karma, bad luck, etc ?

Would you go to a fortune teller to bet on a Sundays NFL games?

Blah blah blah blah. It's got nothing to do with voodoo, it has to do with something that in no way would benefit the Pats, and, through a heightened profile of one of their players, have the potential to hurt them. It's a stupid thing to want to happen.

Same thing with pro bowls--I'd rather the players on my team NOT make the pro bowl. Only benefit is to heighten the profile of a player you'd actually like to trade, like Meriweather, who probably screwed that up too by playing with guns.

since whoever gets on this damn cover is cursed i voted against woodhead and voted for Sanchez and others i want to see cursed. here's hoping woodhead loses .

Woodhead needs to win this!

Not a chance in hell he beat the SB MVP

That's what I'm afraid of. Plus, all the Packer fans will pile on this one even though Woodhead is the better choice overall. Rodgers is just too obvious.

You're probably right, but I would laugh my ass off if Woodhead would beat Rodgers.

It would be pretty good..if he somehow beat Rodgers..he is winning it all

I'd love to see Woodhead vs. Vick the Prick in the final and run away with it.

Not sure why you would vote for Woodhead having a disastrous season in 2011.

Voting Rodgers, and whoever is most popular on the other side of the bracket and has the best chance to beat Woodhead.

Not sure why you would post something that has been posted about 10 times before. It's called the search bar. Use it.

As much as I hate to see Danny possibly get the curse, it's too badass for him to be on the cover not to vote for him. Danny can beat the curse! Vote Woodhead 2011!
