That isnt what I described prior to that post. What I described prior to that post was a SYSTEM where a safety stands in the middle of the field, where a corner EXPECTS deep help, and where the safety looks around and decides where to go, often leaving the corner that expected deep help without it---that is, what was described in the original post.
First of all that is NOT cover 1 because corners aren't EXPECTING deep help at the mercy of the safety giving it or not giving it. Second, it the original post it described ZONE coverage by corners and whether they choose to play the technique or not.
If you can read that original description and tell me that describes man coverage with a free safety in a cover one concept, you are reading paraqgraphs into it that aren't there.
By the way, even if I were to accept all of that reading between the lines, how many snaps in a game do you think THE PATRIOTS play cover one, and how cover one could be an explanation for the SYSTEM that explains what you see a corner do?
