A slow game, Jags will run the ball and march down the field with garrad against bb bend but dont break. Brady will control the game and the patirots come out with another win.

Both ben roth and garrard cant out throw brady and both jags and steelers are ranked average when it comes to total offense. Jags defense will make a game of it but brady will come through.

This seems to be their M.O. My questions is with their heavy run offense will we play more 4/3? This could have the added benefit of rotating the ILB position. Any thoughts?

I could see the Patriots loading 8 in the box on early downs, forcing the Jaguars into obvious passing downs later. Then bring the pain =)

I dont know why but a lot of people will predict a big blow out by the patriots, if anything it will be close but the patriots will pull away.

Isn't the truth that it could go either way an nobody here, or anywhere, has an actual clue?

One possibility is that McDaniels finds a weakness in their secondary and has the exact weapons to exploit it in a way that they simply can't stop.

And he might not.

Oh well, I guess that's why they pay us the big bucks to be the fans and figure it all out.

I am not a homer and wouldn't doubt that the Pats are better than us and may win... but any game has its share of lucks and bounces of the balls. I am saying that the Jaguars are very close to the Pats and will be very competitive. If we can eat the clock and don't make mistake like turnovers to give easy TDs, it won't be a blow out. A basic football truth is you cant score too many points if you don't have the ball too often, we'll keep running and eat the clock and Garrard will do enough to keep your defense honest... will be a good game...

also look at our Colts game how we kept Manning under control.

when both teams, any NFL teams are methodical and not make big mistake, there is no blow out. that's a fact.

Just got done re-watching the Jags-Steelers game. It seems clear that the way to attack this Jags defense is to go hurry up offense, spread them out and take what they give you. I know this shouldn't be a big suprise since that is how the Pats beat them last year(without Moss and Welker).
The Patriots should mix in quick throws and screens and run some draw plays with Faulk. What they shouldn't do is force throws into Randy Moss. Also why don't they put Moss in motion more often to confuse the defense? The Jags D-line is big so we need to tire them out early and then hit them with the running game late.
On the Jags side I expect them to try to jam the receivers and generate pressure up the middle of the line. If the Pats can give Brady some time againts a four man front then this will be a cake walk.

it doesnt look like the jags can run to the outside on the pats D line, this is good, the running gam eis contained.

Iam thinking the jags will drop into coverage a lot, but we have a revamped wr corp, and the screens will work on 7 man in coverage and also draws.

This game could come down to the last drive.

both drives look similar, both teams had great plays, this game will be a great one. The next drive might be 3 point for the jags.

If the game stays this close, expect Maroney to break one, and be the man!

way go go lomo, the jaguars d line is no slouch way to use the speed and knife through frozen butter.

I beleive that they call this a SLOW DEATH.

It is happening........ Slowly, but surely, it is a slow death for sure.
