Rooting for Colts? Dear Lord help me...

Re: Rooting for the Jaguars... !

So it won't get stolen... :D.... As long as Eric Mangini is not on the sidelines, I guess everyone's playbok is safe. The Chargers have already beaten the colts one time this year, and will be ready to give it their best shot in Indy next week. Don't count out San Diego. If you rattle Payton's cage, he gets flustered real fast and starts throwing INT's. The Bolts have been good at putting pressure on Payton, maybe just because he is a Manning. ;)

Sorry. Not a chance.

Peyton won't be throwing 6 INT's on 2 weeks rest. Gonzalez and Wayne will be playing this time. It is in INDY this time. And don't count on Vinatieri missing any chipshots again.

Face it. You guys benefitted from a perfect storm last time around on your home field.

Bottom line? No chance.

The nation will be treated to the latest public meltdowns of Rivers and Mr. Classy. We all have our popcorn ready for that one. I predict excellent Youtube material.

Rooting for the Jaguars.. !

I noticed that too. I wouldn't put it past LT to have gone out seeking someone to design him a "special" LT facemask...he IS that conceited.

He must have told the guy "I want it to look like the grill on a truck" because that's what it looks like. He may be fast & elusive, but he's no truck! He never runs defenders over...not his style.

L.T has been wearing that face mask his entire career. He does it so no one can see which way he is looking. He thinks it gives him a little advantage when he runs. That's all there is to it. Nothing more.

Re: Rooting for the Jaguars... !

LOL..... Zip, Zilch, Nada... Stare into that crystal ball a little longer. Nothing is guaranteed for the next round. I know patriots fans think their team is invincible at 16-0, but they still have to win two more games if they want to get back to the SB. The Jaguars should not be laughed at by the patriots, just as the Chargers should not be by the colts. It would be great to see San Diego and Jacksonville in the AFC championship game...;)

I would much rather play the Chargers than the Jags this weekend personally. And why do the Chargers whine like babies when the Pats throw all the taunting and trash-talking they did leading up to last year's AFCDG after beating back in their faces ("act like you've been there before wah wah wah") and then act like spoiled 10 year-olds when they beat the Broncos and Titans?

There's a weird sense of entitlement amongst the Chargers and their fan base that I've never seen before from a team that has never won anything or proved itself in any way.

Go Colts! *shudders*

I thought he wore it so nobody could see him cry.

LOL.. first off... Go Jaguars !... Last years playoff loss was very frustrating for the Chargers. They had the game won until the meltdown occured. They reacted to the pats celebration with to much heart felt pain watching the game slip away like that. Especially being a team that has never won a super bowl, what's wrong with that, even football players are only human.

If that was the case, LaClassian wouldn't have kept running his mouth months later. Think of it this way, if Merriman didn't yell at a pep rally that he was going to take Tom's head off, if you didn't plan a frickin parade and most importantly, if he didn't do that dumb ass dance to begin with, the Pats wouldn't have done anything.

LOL..Can't do that, the tears would fog up the face mask, so you have to take it off if you want to cry,

Re: Rooting for the Jaguars... !

Yes, your team is made up of humans with their human frailties. These frailties are, all too often on display. This is the #1 reason why no one takes your team seriously.

This time next week, the entire country will be gearing up for Patriots-Colts.

It will be the REAL Super Bowl.

You can't whine like you all whined about being classy and whatnot last year and then wave bye bye and all that douchebaggery against the Broncos this year. Sorry, but your team can't control it's emotions one way or another and that's precisely why this current Chargers won't ever even sniff a SuperBowl.

Which news program do you watch ?. I did not hear LaClassian talking about it " Months " later, and that whole Merriman pep rally remark was blown way out of proportion. If anyone was to blame for that, it should be the Chargers fans. I was at that rally, and Merriman was trying to keep it clean, but we the fans kept urging and egging him on to make some kind of " we will kill the patriots " type remark. And he did so to give the fans what they wanted to hear, and to our disadvantage, at the same time he also gave the patriots a rally cry for the game. I do not think Merriman will make the same mistake again.

More misinformed Pats fans carrying on with nonsense. I've posted this many times, but you guys dont get it. First, the Chargers didnt "plan" a parade. The city required the organization (meaning the owner) to submit a permit to have a parade IF that happened. The same holds true for ANY team in any major city. Second, what about Seau's dance? Why dont you have a problem with that? Seau used to get grief from other teams and fans when he did it in SD. Why are your players above scrutiny? Get off the high horse.

Do you even know what happened in that game? Did you know that Cutler was the one that initiated the taunting with Rivers?? Just because the media caught Rivers saying his part and it was played at nauseum on ESPN, doesnt make him anymore at fault than Cutler. Does he play with emotion? Yes. Is he a "hothead?" Probably. But I'll take a fiery competitor over a vegetable anyday. (And no, that's not a dig on Brady).

Did you even watch the Broncos game ?. I was there and saw John Lynch throw L.T's helmet down the field like a big idiot, and I also watched Cutler talking crap to the Chargers bench the entire game, long before Rivers or anyone else on the Chargers did anything. The Broncos dished it out, and got it back in return. Everyone is passing judgement by a few short clips they saw on espn, which did not include the broncos antics. There are articles to back up my claim on NFL network, NFL.com, SI, etc.

Are you comparing Seau to Merriman? And you're a Chargers fan??? I'll give you 1 reason. Seau is wildly respected, Merriman? Not even close.

Then why doesn't the same apply to the Pats players who did their talking after beating you? And why is a team who is filled with players who cried long after that game was over about how "classless" the Pats were the most celebratory and childish team in professional sports?

Seriously, Pats fans have every reason to hate the Colts and Jets and a number of other teams more than the Chargers, but your team, who is largely irrelevant to us inspires the most animosity. Your QB is mediocre at best but runs his mouth every game. win or lose. Merriman started a "Tom Brady sucks" chant at a rally before the game last year (really? he sucks?) and LT apparently believes that "class" involves trash talking the other team, whining incessantly after every loss, calling superior teams who talk sh!t only when they lose to a team who had been running their mouths off "classless, and then says "I'm a classy guy." Tell me you didn't get douche-chills when he said that. Oh and I don't know about you, but for the most part your fan base is the most ignorant, trash-talking bunch of hypocritical whiners I've ever seen.

I hate the Jets fan base and their coach, I hate but respect the Colts and theirs, but the Chargers are probably the one team and fan base I wish didn't even exist. The only part I don't mind is Norv Turner, who you were ready to run out of town after a slow start on a new team with a new coaching staff.

We don't have a problem with that. If a Chargers player mocks Seau after beating the Pats then I guarantee you won't hear crying from Pats players to the media. Why? because that's part of professional sports, if you can't back your talking up, then tough sh!t.

Actually, given the fact that Merriman has been in the league for a very short period of time, he IS very well respected. He's an animal and any team would love to have him. He's also someone who is easy to hate....I get that. Sort of like Moss. You may not like Merriman's dance, you may not like his attitude, you may not like what he says. But the dude is a gamer and you can't deny that.

Honestly? I wouldn't want him anywhere near my team. Is he good? Absolutely. I wouldn't want LaClasssian either. True about Moss, but I never saw him as the cancer some made him out to be. I thought he was a scapegoat for MN. All the love boat shenanigans and stuff happened after he left-he was not the problem.

I want guys who shut their mouths and play the game.

Merriman's respect level went way down after the roids. And before you say it, I believe Rodney' did to.

ehh. You see, this is the point that Pats fans and SD fans will never agree on. If you want to dis the dance during the game....fine. Lendale White did it after a TD the last time we played Tenn. Didnt really bother anybody. It's the fact that NE did it after the game. Not only disrespectful to do it on our logo at midfield, but after the game, there's no recourse. Also, you have to understand something. That game was very emotional and was a kick in the acorns for us. It couldnt have gone worse. So, yeah, it pissed everyone off. Should we have just played better and won the game? Of course, but I dont fault any player for showing his emotions that day, or even after. The fact that LT cried only proves to me that he's a competitor and hates to lose. IMO there's nothing wrong with that.

You're right we'll never agree. The scarier part? The hatred of the Chargers has made Colts and Pats fans agree. Shudder Shudder:eek:
