Where was the crowd noise?

What is embarrassing is how many people ***** and moan about the crowd yet don't realize that the stadium wasn't build to be conducive to crowd noise.

Its one of the few blemishes on what Kraft has done with the team.

We could always equip the stadium with a dome and hidden microphones to increase the noise. Nah, too boring, it's already been done in Indy.

You know who gets screwed in this whole crowd noise thing is the real fans that would give a arm and a leg to go to at least once , and alot of those fans lurk on this board...Here is a list of people go to game

30,000 to 40, 000 - true real fans

But then you have people that would rather get up every 10 min to go get a beer, and that beer is more important than watching a game.. Dont get me wrong I love beer, but enough is enough, you are paying 100 plus a ticket and you would rather spend 7.50 on beer than watch the game, not me..

Plus at the beggining of the thrid quarter , the restrooms are so packed it takes almost the entire third quarter to get a capacity stadium..

I went last night and had a beer before the game , one beer at 700 but that was it for me.. I want to watch the game and not worry about my next beer and not remember the game the next day..

The Pats game is a party, and it should be, but people some times forget what they are there for..

Thats why I won't spend a $100 on a ticket. Football I watch on TV. Minor league baseball $4 to get in $4 a beer. Half the time I don't even know who won or who the opposing team was. It was great before I moved I could walk to the game. Which was great because needless to say driving would violate the DWI laws.

As we were walking up to the stadium we saw some guys getting loaded into the police vans. If thta's not a waste, I don't know what is. I like to have a good time too (always bring my big cup and my Southern Comfort), but you gotta know when to draw the line.

Still had a great time.

BTW: for those at the game, what did you think of the Victorias Secret model getting booed. I think that was the loudest the crowd was all night.

Imagine what whould have happened to her at a Jets game. :)

What clown boos a victoria secret model?

They were booing the way they tried to force it down our throats (she came on the jumbo-tron twice; the second time was after Philly scored I believe). It was just poor timing for cheezy advertising (IMO). She was smoking hot though... I wouldn’t boo her, that’s for sure!

Wow... Calling out people who are more concerned with watching the game. The audacity of those people who spend thousands of dollars and they have the nerve to watch the game.

AStack, I'm with you. It amuses me to read how much louder people sitting on their couch for 3 hours would cheer than those "fair-weather corporate" fans who shell out thousands of dollars a year and spend 8-10 hours of their fall and winter Sundays attending the games.

I could see myself chanting something tasteless like "take it off" or "show us your tits" but booing -- never!

oh and also at halftime there was a guy who jumped to the field, some of Foxboro's finest got him before he got anywhere..

At a soccer game in England she'd have been serenaded with the inevitable 'Get your tits out for the lads' chant.

I agree with whoever said the booing was because it was a bit of a jarring bit of 'pluggery' during the game.

And as for smoking hot.. anyone been to 'Babe's Diner' not far from the stadium. Waitress there... mmmmm.

I saw that. I saw a cop running along the Eagles sideline and I looked toward the end zone. 2 officers were sprawled on top of him, then a bunch more came over. I noticed that "Security" didn't move.

My GF checked it out with the binoculars and he didn't have any shoes on either. :D

On TV you could actually hear individual people clapping when the Pats were on D.

Gillette Stadium isn't designed for crowd noise, it's designed to catch allot of wind and snow. :p

Cop out...

That place was like a Tennis Match last night. Anyone who says otherwise is lying to themselves. The crowd noise got to a DECENT level in spots (few and far between), but overall I gave it a "F" for "Fair Weather". There is a feeling of arrogance/privilege in that place now that was never there before.

I think the fans need a little of BB's "Humble Pie". Maybe a loss will wake us all up a little bit.

Clearly, the Patriots don't pump in the crowd noise. :)

You guys are crazy. I'll be the first person to admit the crowd sucked last night, but to equate people not screaming to being fair-weather fans is ridiculous. If being a good fan means being extremely loud, then the f'ed-up fans who sit in front of me spending more time yelling at the opposing fans in the stands than watching the game must be the biggest die-hards.

season ticket holder checking in... (couldnt resist)

A. the fans at gillette suck! (talking as a whole; im one of them; and ive been to plenty of other stadiums)

B. to the point that gillette fans do not deserve a winning team.

C. does it get boring, and hard to cheer when you are up by 40 points? yes. but that wasnt the case this week.

D. if you cant name 10 players, and their positions, you should not be allowed in... you are NOT A FAN.

E. if you got free tickets from work (RED SEAT LOSERS), you suck... plain and simple... i could start a whole thread on this.

F. here is how you watch a football game (for the dumbasses who never go)... on defensive 3rd downs, you make as much noise as you can... you dont b!tch about a dude standing up in front of you... you stand; you make as much noise as possible... if you dont like that, stay home! if you dont understand why, read more of these threads.

i swear they should just hand out an Idiot's Guide to FB when you park your car.

ask any player if they want quiet home fans jackass; ive personally talked to players on the 2007 team, and they cant believe how quiet the stadium is... 3rd down, make noise... there is a reason... if you dont understand it, pick up the FB for Dummies book on your way in... otherwise, stay home and let a real fan go.
