"Bill is fine. Bill is a good guy," Dungy said. "That's the way he is; he's been that way with me win or lose. He's no different anytime. He's been very complimentary of us when we won and he's just an intense guy out there."

Gary Brackett's response:

"We respect them as well as them respecting us. It's just a competitive thing."

Such things are a big deal to fans and the media. I doubt players/coaches think twice about such things.

My theory: As soon as there's any difficulty -- e.g., some kind of grudge -- BB finds it hard to do the socially "right" thing. And he doesn't see this hard problem as being worth the attention to solve. It's just not a priority for him.

I still don't understand what is wrong with this handshake:

How is this not a "proper handshake?"

Dungy should be glad he didn't get punched in his face - after all that he has been mouthing since Cameragate. Also - to reiterate Pats1 question - what wrong with the handshake.

God is it really that bad in the sports world there is nothing to write about other than "PATS ARE EVIL /WHINERS/CHEATERS/..."

Get a clue. People hate Boston sports and they are jealous of what goes on in that city.

Lest we forget that Dungy directed a barely-disguised insult at Bob Kraft, too. Belichick should have hit him with the Russian Sickle and just kept walking.

That would have been supremely awesome.

Is this the only negative thing they can talk about? LOL. I'm sorry but I find it hilarious how coach handshakes have become one of the big discussions about Bill Belichick.

Does anyone else think that BB may feel really uncomfortable in large crowds of people and photographers. I for one know I get really uncomfortable in places where I can barely move without running into someone. I can't be the only one in the world who feels this way. If BB does feel this way, it would seem to match his public personality of somewhat of an introvert.
