Assuming they hope to get him to the PS, DT Darius Kilgo claimed off waivers to take the spot. I think we know why.

Not only is Branch's situation in question but Woody Hamilton hasn't played in weeks with a leg injury.

Apparently IR for Hamilton was seen as the worse option.

Luckily we haven't showcased Foster, might help us bring him back to the PS. Looked pretty good in the preseason.

With the exception of MIA, fortunately their remaining opponents all have sub-standard running games

NOOOOOoooooo......

While I agree, this move was coming. With Lewis looking pretty darn good out there and with White playing well, there was simply no room to carry a third passing back on the roster. He was the obvious redundancy on the roster. Hope the Pats can bring him back to the practice squad, I loved his potential and his story. If someone else picks him up, well c'est la vie, and I wish him all the best when he's not playing the Pats.

It's a shame he was cut but understandable. I'm actually feeling somewhat confident he can reach the ps now.

Hamilton was not listed on injury reports for a few weeks now.
Kilgo is connected to Branch and somewhat to the loss of A Johnson.

Re. Foster: Id be (happily) surprised if he is not claimed.

I've never been one who's been as hyped about Foster. Not bad or anything, but really had nothing that we don't already have with Lewis and White.

Thought I read Hamilton was injured? Had a knee and a shoulder issue?

Per Reiss
Lewis might have made him superfluous, but they must have another player in mind for the slot.

It's so hard to lose a binkie. I really liked Foster and hope like hell he makes it back to the PS, but frankly I doubt it. I felt he had the potential to be better than White next year, and showed some flashes of it in the few chances he got here.

Unfortunately White was viewed as more dependable, since he's been in the offense a lot longer, and he never got hurt, so Foster never got a real chance to show what he had before Lewis showed up and closed the door on him ever getting on the field.

If he dosen't come back this will be just ANOTHER reason to be pissed at Branch getting bagged for pot smoking, because between him being gone for a few weeks, and Hamilton not being able to get back on the field, the Pats really did need to sign someone to provide some DT depth.

I'm kind of surprised they didn't come back to Terrence Knighton

Will he make it to the Practice Squad?

And here it is. Preparing for life without Branch?

If I were he, I'd be on a plane to Wisconsin ASAP.
