Let's hope this isn't the unit starting on Opening Day. ;);)

Why not that line up is okay. Solder is a solid LT. Thuney is looking like a good pick. Will hold down that LG spot well. Andrews is looking bigger and stronger. I expect him to do well. We know he has the technique from what he did last year but lacked the strength. Kline though not the most talented guy is a solid savy vet. And OH GAWD CANNON! Noooooo! Oh lord why has thought forsaken me?

When Cannon was a baby he tried to put a square block in a round hole in one of those baby block sets. That was the first block he ever attempted to do deliver. It has never improved.

Let the Jacoby Biscuit era begin!

Obviously not happening yet, if ever, and unfortunately, it doesn't look like we will be in capable hands with Brissett if Jimmy goes down in the 1st four games.

I guess we still have time to sign a 3rd string QB before the season starts, but it sucks losing Brady's spot where we could keep an extra player that the Pats don't want to lose.

My thought is this type of thing will become more and more normal as players actually take time off following concussions instead of just playing through them.
I think it's a little knee jerk to assume that 4 or 5 concussions means retire when players used to play right through them and in some cases would have double digit number of concussions.
Not saying retiring is crazy as health is important but to assume it is a knee jerk reaction to the problem. Just don't play with a concussion should be the obvious first step. Then depending on severity and frequency retirement should be considered.
We know Stork has add at least 5 and at least one was pretty severe but we don't know how severe they all were and most relevant it would seem the current one was not too severe.
Or maybe it's like you say and he's gonna play anyway. And maybe I'm crazy but I think as long as the NFL stops covering up the problem and players actually sit when they have them that should be enough to lessen the post career problems.

Its a problem because the damn ambulance chasing bloodsuckers sense a deep pocket to steal from. Boxing and MMA should be banned, long before football, as the object is to knock the other guy out, which is a induced concussion. Thepoliticuians put price controls on nurses, doctors and hospitals but ignored the blood sucking fellow lawyers who drive up costs, force unneccessary tests merely to protect from their faked malpractice torts.

Sounds like every preseason for the guy. He seems to be a hard guy to judge because he is the rare QB who looks tentative in practice and more decisive on the playing field.

Ya. It's pretty clear even if it is just preseason that practice Jimmy and game Jimmy are not the same and game Jimmy is kind of an escape artist (see: Saints and Panthers preseason games last year)

Can someone refresh my memory with examples of players who were known as bad practice players but gr8 game players?

That's the interesting thing about this kid for sure. He acclimates far better to an actual game than practice. I'll take it, though, if that's the choice I get.

Stanzi anyone?:(

Well first off Jimmy hasn't been bad in practice, this is going off of something Scott Zolak said which had it been something positive Deus wouldn't have posted it but because it is something negative the boards biggest contrarian had to post it. Secondly, no one is saying he is great. Just saying that I heard about him holding the ball too long and having bad reads in practice last year and then I actually saw him in preseason and I just didn't see the "holding on too long" thing to be a huge concern. The bad read thing, meh, he's Jimmy Garoppolo not Tom Brady I assume he's going to have some bad reads.

He's looking like an average, or slightly better than average, NFL starting QB. If he's that, I'd take that in a heartbeat.

Honestly. Seems like most of the people that have the same quips as Zolak about Jimmy are comparing him to Tom. Which is just utterly f**king stupid.

There are only a select few QBs in the history of the game that can be compared to Tom Brady.
