Full Patriots 2016 Schedule

I like this schedule a lot. No real complaints at all from my end.

But know what is pissing me off? The yearly lowballing of the Patriots record by the media. And I'm not talking about the national media, they actually usually give the Pats credit in the preseason predictions. No I'm referring to people like Mike Reiss who just now predicted an 11-5 season. I see this EVERY year where the local writers (the good ones even) go on about "oh the schedule is hard and there is a string of games here or there that isn't very friendly" or whatever and then they predict 11-5 or 10-6. It happens every single year. News Flash: the Patriots don't lose 5 games. It just doesn't happen barring some catastrophic injury. And it won't happen now. 12-4 is the absolute floor this year just like it always is.

Meanwhile tonight you see the Packers and Cardinals beat writers predicting 13-3 season which is very realistic. And they are in much tougher divisions than we are.

If Brady is suspended I could realistically see an 1-3, 0-4 start. I know that isn't popular but do you expect Jimmy G to stare down the Cardinals D-line? Houston with Watt and Clowney? How about Buffalo who destroyed TB himself in the second meeting? Then we have the Dolphins who don't exactly have shrimps on the D-line.

Listen I think Jimmy G can play but he won't get starter reps in pre-season, most likely. That means he has to make the split second decisions TB has to make against those Ds. Easier said than done. If we had an actual run game, one that can make defenses hesitate then I'd feel much more comfortable.

If Brady plays all 4? 4-0. So I'm not all gloom and doom, just being realistic. We beat Houston, Miami and Buffalo because of TB. Without him....and right out of the chute....yikes.

Hmm...TNF might not be boring to watch this year (for those who watch that sort of thing)

I count seven teams with two TNF games:

Bal
Cin
Hou
LA
Mia
NYG
NYJ

I think what he meant was what's 10 + 6 regarding our projected 2016 season record

Yes because it's a nailed on fact that the OL won't be better.

I am of the feeling the individual play will be markedly better no doubt. No run game, goodnight. That's what killed them. People can keep talking about the o-line being bad which has some merit. If they had had a run game in Denver, they win. They couldn't run when it mattered. Now, if they can get a good back that can run between the tackles and make teams respect that all will be good. I'm not convinced but they have 5 months to change my mind. It could happen.

Why? Try and justify this to me.

I think we lose the following games and one other AFC East game. Its just a way too early prediction based on nothing.
Week 1- @ Arizona SNF
Week 7- @ Pittsburgh (4:25)
Week 10- Seattle SNF
Week 15- @ Denver (4:25)

Brutal schedule. This team can play well and still only finish 10-6 or 11-5 at best. NFC West is the best division in football. Let's hope the O-line has their act together.

I think 12-4 with the Pats going into week 17 12-3.

If we get the win over Pitt I think that will be pretty safe.

This is basically what Eric Davis said on NFLN just a little while ago. I think they can win all those games.

Question for season ticket holders - when do you receive your tickets?

I remember last season seeing people selling their whole set on StubHub, and I may jump on that this year. I've got at least another 10 years left until I'm next in line.

I'm going to go outside of the box and predict that the Patriots win between 10 and 14 games this season, as long as Brady is healthy.

That's some crazy stuff, I know.

P.S. Dear Scar,

Please have that freakin' OL ready by week one.

Thanks,
Every Patriots fan, everywhere

The NFC West has two good teams and two garbage teams. And yes the Rams are garbage, they can only play well against other NFC West opponents. That division is no where near as strong as they were a few years ago.

I love how self proclaimed Pats fans will just mark down any game against a good team as an assumed loss. It happens every single year. Because obviously we can't beat good teams and just feed on the bottom of the league. In fact those good teams can't fuc.king wait to face us because they know we are an easy out.

They beat Pitt. No Bryant just like last year. Patriots will be better than last year. Hence win. I think if TB plays they beat AZ. The Badger coming off an ACL. Bennett and Gronk will eviserate the middle of the field. Seattle at Gillette? Doubtful. See how the Pats secondary is playing at that point. Denver maybe because that's a house of horrors.

8-2
24 TD
3 INT
112.9 QB rating

But ya that Pittsburgh game is one you can mark down as a loss....

Y'all predictions suck!! I go in to every season predicting 19-0.

I know this is a Pats fan website, but I'm curious...

how many Red Sox fans here are going to watch Ortiz's last regular season game over the Bills game? Especially if (hopefully not) there are no postseason hopes for the Red Sox and it is his last game ever

The bye week isn't bad BUT are people really not complaining about a short week then a flight to Denver?

I mean, playing in Denver sucks. Peyton sucked last year, and they still rushed the hell out of Brady. But coming off a Monday night? Short recovery? Flying cross country? To play in altitude? I don't care if Mark Sanchez is the QB, that sucks.
