It pretty much forces them to take an OT with their first pick. Considering that a top 20 pick's cap hit isn't insignificant, depending on D'Brick's dead cap hit it could still be pretty tight to sign Fitzpatrick.And no one to protect him.

If he files the retirement paperwork, he can't come back for at least a year, I think.Reports said (i think) that the Jets were asking for him to take a paycut so they could re-sign Fitz, even though they were very active in the Free Agency.
