Kraft "trying" to get 1st round pick back

bet goodell laughed when he read that garbage letter

**** you robert

Kraft is an owner first, fan second. 99% of sports owners are. He's not going to go against the league and burn the league down just for draft picks and an 'improved' image (face it, even if Kraft got the picks back, fans don't care, they don't care about the differences between a false allegation and the truth). Understand that and you understand professional sports today. It's all about the money.
It's a shame Goody didn't try to **** the Raiders over while Al was still alive. That would have been quite the show. Especially if we're talking senile "speed is everything" Al Davis as opposed to the crazy Al who was an all time great but still kinda off his rocker that won 3 Super Bowls.

Yeah sure Robert, I'm just going to give you the picks back while I have a federal court case against your QB and the NFLPA

Do you know how long and hard ESPN and the Park Place bullies worked on fabricating those lies to bring your team down? Do you know how much we paid Wells for that report?

Let's just say it was enough to pay for about 5 fully staffed and supplied homeless shelters or orphanages.

Ok,Bobby. You aren't getting the picks back! You had your chance and you blew it!

Roger Goodell

I haven't forgave him, never did. As the old "fool me once...." saying goes. I'm not falling for it again and if I do, shame on me.

He let his team get railroaded twice and has done nothing since besides a dopey little press conference so he didn't get booed at training camp and the opener.

I would rather he say NOTHING AT ALL then an absolutely weak-looking comment saying he "wrote a letter" asking for the picks back.

If I'm a fan of another team, I look at this story that's now circulating and laugh. You "wrote a letter"? WTF kind of moronic action is that?

Stand up for yourself, your team and your fans Bob...good grief.

Yeah. I feel so stupid and tricked for just eating that **** up which in retrospect was 100% for the express purpose of not getting booed opening night.

Mixed feelings. At least he attempted to do something by writing the letter, which I'm sure he realized was futile.

On the other hand, it's kind of a waste of time, and it's getting a fair amount of negative attention--although we're already past the point where it should matter any longer.

Sounds about right. Another PR move by Kraft to try to make the fans think he's on their side in any of this. Just weeks before a draft where we're not going to have a first round pick, in large part because of his spineless capitulation. FFS, the Chiefs are fighting harder for a third round pick, and that's without anyone dragging their entire organization's reputation through the mud or trying to smear the face of their franchise.

Might even be a wink nod agreement with goodell."Iam going to write you a letter and also tell our fans I wrote this letter. If you are asked, you bring up integrity and BS and how you love me and brady but the integrity of the shield is paramount"

The contrast is stark. Vichy Bob Kraft is a disgrace. Just another pre-draft PR move to appease low info fans.

I'm watching Norway's excellent "The Heavy Water War" on Netflix and Quisling Bob might also be apt.

Was the letter his lawyer gave to Blecker just a PR move?

Then again how about the Rats not appealing their $100,000.00 fine for tampering with Revis?

They took their punishment like a man/rodent.

The problem is, from the moment the news broke, the intention of the letter was obvious. Perhaps more worrisome, with the letter being out there, Kraft trumpeted some ******** about putting personal differences aside and once again, publicly supported Goodell. An inanimate carbon rod sitting on the throne doing absolutely nothing would do a better job than the NFL's prize idiot.

The more things play out, despite all the good he's done, it's increasingly difficult to support and respect Bob knowing he's well passed his use-by date. JK should be carrying the torch now. The Patriots should have shown real anger, not the pink gloves strategy they've employed with cute little websites and letters. The fans see right through it.

The fundamental point is sadly, they've worked out none of it matters because we'll still consume everything New England.

So how many people here think all this teams success for the last decade and a half is all because of Brady and Belichick and Kraft had nothing to do with it?

about as serious as still wailing about a book that closed almost a year ago

you guys wanna relive ben dreith and roughing the passer again?
I only responded because I thought the letter was a waste of time and I, myself have moved past these draft picks even though I feel like Kraft rolled over when he shouldn't have, but I digress. You on the other hand, have lumped me in with everyone else and appear to be just as fixated and obsessed with it as those you chastise.

Bob really needs to hire a PR firm. People say Bob knows exactly what the fans are thinking but I don't think he does.

Going public by saying , "I sent a letter asking for the draft picks back.", a month ago and by all accounts hasn't accomplished a damn thing and just makes him look like a fool who is 1/2 assing any motion to get the picks back and appease the fan base. Kinda insulting.

If Belichick had sucked this board would still be bemoaning the loss of the draft picks to get him. This board wasn't like this before we won the Super Bowls ... some here feel it's our right to win everything ... all the time ... as if the other 31 do not exist on a level plane.

Some of those ragging on Belichick probably do not get along with some in their family.
Yet Kraft has to get along in the dysfunctional NFL family ... not as easy as some think it to be.
I wish Kraft had done things differently ... but his legacy of success in the NFL is extreme and that makes what he wishes to do harder and harder.

would some rather Kraft wins all the time and we're a mediocre team?
Of Kraft loses here and there and we remain an elite team ...
Take your pick ...

Kraft is simply doing damage control and politicking to fans and local media. I personally wish he would just stop making an arse out of himself and move on. This type of crap isn't making him look any better to most, especially when the court and the NFL will spit in his face once again with an adverse decision (which I expect).
