Deion Sanders on NFLN: KC Chiefs will Defeat the Patriots

Sanders predicts (almost off camera on the NFL Network Show with LT etc.) that the Chiefs will take down New England next Saturday (1/16/16) at Gillette Stadium.

When does he say this? I'm watching it right now?

What you didnt think he was going to pick the pats did you?

It's been so long that the Pats have been underdogs, I am personally going to relish every second of these next 3 games, where I expect the Pats to be underdogs in every one.

New England is favored over KC, and I'd imagine that they'd be favored over PIT as well, should it come to that. The only way they'd be underdogs in a true sense is if they went out to DEN in the AFCCG. I would expect fairly even point spreads, give or take a point or two, should they end up going further than that.

That said, I agree with your overall point that many will be jumping on the KC bandwagon in terms of who they pick and root for, and I honestly believe that KC is one of those tougher defensive matchups that can cause us problems if the team isn't ready. In that sense, I hope to see Belichick and company use some of this doubt to their advantage, because at the end of the day we should win by 10+, especially if Maclin doesn't play.

Ok I think I know what you're talking about. He said "They ain't going to lose there" and then it queued to commercial. I was only half paying attention though, so I'm not sure what or who it was directed at.

A mop from the movie "Joy" could defeat the Patriots if our offensive line can't clean up. See what I did there... oh haha.

An extra week of prep for the Patriots, healthy dose of BB and his "NFL mensa society", Julian Edelman about 60-70%, a weeks rest for the players, some guys getting healthier.. as couple of gallons of "Guerrero Joy Juice".. some nice organic kale wraps, what else do you need.

Deion can say what he wants, as he will attract more social media followers if he is against the Patriots than for them..

Of all the teams in the wild card, the last team I wanted to face was the Kansas City Chiefs.. That pass rush is real. That whole defense is ferocious. Against this turnstile O-line Brady is gonna get stomped on. Chiefs win this game unless the offense finally gets going again!! Will we see struggles to get first downs like the last few weeks?

Kc offense will struggle more than ours even if Edelman dosent play.

There's no basis for being confident in a prediction either way.

That's because there's no basis for being confident in one's prediction of how well either the Pats' OL or WRs will play. And you could throw the secondary in there as well. Vollmer, Edelman, Amendola, McCourty and Chung are all unpredictable for medical reasons, and they're crucial to the three groups I named.

I'm pretty confident in other beaten up stars -- Brady, Hightower, Jones, et al. But the first two groups I named could play terribly, or they could play well, or anywhere in between. And the secondary could be anything from outstanding to meh.

Chiefs can certainly win that game, why do people lose their minds here when someone doesn't pick the Patriots? Having said that, Patriots are and should be the favorites.

No surprises here....this will be a very popular prediction this week.....for many reasons Pats will not be the favorite throughout rest of playoffs and if they survive....The SB

Chiefs are the hot team right now and remind me of US in 2001-2004 to be honest....great defense....solid running game...and an EFFICIENT smart QB that doesn't make a lot of mistakes. I have no issue with anyone picking the Chiefs right now....it makes sense I just expect Pats to come out on fire and give them a hell of a game....we will see which pats team comes out of the tunnel.....

QUOTE="Ice_Ice_Brady, post: 4512443, member: 4851"]I really hope we don't have a week of new threads that so-and-so is picking the Chiefs. The Chiefs are hot, the Patriots are cold, or at least that's the obvious conclusion. The point spread is 4.5. Lots of people are legitimately thinking the Chiefs will win. I think the Pats will bounce the Chiefs, but I'm not going to harp on everyone who disagrees. Regardless, it's good for the Patriots and always has been for them to feel like their backs are to the wall.[/QUOTE]

It's the Homer mentality in most cases....in most arguments on paper and video RIGHT NOW.....Chiefs look like the better team. Pats still have a ton of questions that we won't know answers to until ball gets kicked off. Certainly we better have better intensity coaching and leadership than the last few games

Did they not just lose Maclin? Their O is not scary.

Sanders LOVES the Patriots - said his biggest regret was never playing for BB, the greatest coach ever. Loves Brady, too.

This coming weekend, plenty of people will pick the Chiefs, just like plenty will pick the Steelers over Denver (assuming Benis playing).

And both should be good games.

I think the Pats take care of business.

This is the championship game here I believe.

I wanted this matchup for the AFCCG.

Thanks to the Bungels' ineptness, one of the 2 doucheiest teams in the league (Squeelers or Donkeys) are going to AFCCG.

It's going to be interesting to monitor the Maclin injury. He would be a huge loss for KC if he can't play.
KC has a really good defense, so being at full strength on Offense will be important. Should be a hard fought game and hopefully we come out on top!!!!
