Maybe Fireman Ed knows?

You know Richardson plays for the Jets, right?

sheldon will probably get a two game suspension.

integrity of the game folks.

Man needs a long ... very long rehab stay or he'll end up dead.

Roger Goodell’s Arbitrary Hammer of Justice Strikes Again

Roger Goodell’s roulette wheel of justice struck again on Tuesday. The NFL announced its decision not to punish Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel for his role in an alleged domestic violence incident in Akron, Ohio, last month. At the same time, Oakland Raiders linebacker Aldon Smith was reportedly suspended one year after he pleaded not guilty to hit and run, drunken driving, and vandalism charges stemming from an Aug. 6 incident.

I agree, but it won't be anywhere near what Smith got.

Smith had already negotiated down a long suspension to only 9 games, and that happened last year. The fact that he was yet again, involved in drugs/alcohol placed him in stage #3, and he finally saw that year long suspension that he probably should've seen in 2014.

I agree with you. Sheldon Richardson is looking at a game or two--at best. They've already ruled that the gun was perfectly legal in the state of Missouri, and they found no drugs despite a detected odor of marijuana. He'll simply state that his friend was smoking. Case closed. Unless he happened to fail a test that we don't yet know about, this is simply a case of reckless driving, and I don't see that bringing about much of a suspension.

The shame in all of it is that a minor was in the backseat, but the D.A. declined to pursue charges since he was a family member and wouldn't have cooperated anyway. In other words, Richardson will likely get a slap on the wrist for what should've been a lengthy punishment through both the criminal justice system and the NFL.

No cooperation from the alleged victim, not to mention that she tells the cop within the first minute or two that she doesn't wish to pursue charges, and goes on to repeat herself many times throughout the conversation that "she just wants to get her phone." 10 minutes into the situation, the cops are more concerned with looking in the weeds for Manziel's wallet than they are with any threat of physical violence.

Despite the media hype of her statement, the cop led her with the initial question of "are you in fear for your life?" That wasn't a statement that she came up with on her own. He gave her an either/or question, so the only way that she could've responded was that "I am in fear for my life." She openly admits that he took her iphone, so she threw his wallet out of the window. There are reports that she was seen trying to leave the car, yet he was preventing her from exiting. The police couldn't determine who had initiated the physical contact, only that both parties participated in some scratching/clutching/pawing at each other.

Johnny Football will get what's coming to him unless he changes his ways very quickly, but I think the lack of cooperation and evidence kind of tied the NFL's hands here.

Excellent write up Sup.

Is it too much to ask for facts and fairness to govern the decisions for NFL discipline? Not because CNN or those who get to yell the loudest say "suspend him!". Not because a bunch of owners pressure the league office. Not because of a quest for power in the league office. Not because Goodell or those under him want to present a sparkling pillar of crowd pleasing justice.
Given your relaying on the facts of the case, and if those reports are true, then it is wisest for the league to defer to the police on this. I'm just surprised they would given their thorough lack of integrity.

I'm probably naive to believe this, however, if damn Goodell and his Lops would just be consistent, present facts to allow them to speak for themselves, give the maximum allowed to those things that are plainly not right, they'll be alright in the long run. They'll take some heat sometimes but the firm establishment of their 'word' and their 'consistency' would build them the kind of credibility that may get them through the rougher times. Instead their cowardly and sneaky/slimy ways will, hopefully, pay them their due karma despite a seemingly proper decision on Manziel.

The Richardson will come on December 28th the day after the Jets play the Patriots, a "pure coincidence" claims Goodell and the rest of the rumpswabs..

The number of games Richardson is suspended will depend on next years schedule, Richardson will come back the week before the Jets play the Patriots again..
