The Defense is going to be tested against Eli.. He seems to have gotten hot thank to the Saints game.. I'm hoping we can douse that fire..

Actually, other than the Saints game, he's had a brutal 4 game stretch, including last week. He is talented and streaky though, so he does concern me.

if we could dress more then 5 O linemen, I would be so happy.

We'll dress 6-7 healthy OL's. Of course. 1-2 could be PS additions.

Umm.. The Bucs game was a good game for ShELIa... 26/40 - 2TD - 2 Int. The first interception was Beckham's fault because he let it bounce of his hands right into the arms of the defense. The 2nd one was a typical Manning interception. Archie and Peyton have thrown many like those..

So, while the 2 games before the Saints game were bad, Saints Game and the Bucs game were good for ShELIa.

40 attempts for 213 yards is terrible

This is an offensive line thread, so I'll refrain from discussing Eli any further. The OL deserves the discussion.

Chris (Bob) Barker--c'mon down.

I'm guessing that we'll be able to get a read on the possibility of Vollmer/Cannon playing by whether or not Belichick makes this move in the next few days.
He won't make a move like that until Saturday. We aren't the only ones trying to figure out who will be expected to play on Sunday. No sense tiping anything to the folks in NY who might want to know too.

When Cannon was healthy (for a few minutes), he was the LT and Vollmer was at RT. Has something changed that would make us think that Belichick now sees Vollmer as the LT and Cannon as the RT?
Might that depend on their injuries and relative health?

Even worse, 9 wins clinch that division. Dallas are out, the Skins and Eagles are crap. I don't know what is the remaining of their schedule but at this point they have a good shot at making the playoffs.

I'd have to think they have an excellent shot at making the playoffs, as they're currently leading the division. As you said, their competition isn't exactly top notch.

I honestly think the eagles are better than the giants and the eagles schedule is easy

Maybe they didn't want to disrupt two positions, but i think Vollmer is a much better left tackle athletically.

And given the situation on the NFC, if the playoffs were to start next week, I'd say I can only see Carolina and Green Bay much better than the Giants. And we know both of those teams can become soft on the road, I think they will have a better record than the Giants though but anyway, Coughlin is a good coach and Eli is not afraid to throw so there is nothing unusual in the Giants winning against any of those teams in the playoffs.

It may be but Bradford is awful, this last game against Dallas he was afraid of throwing for more than 8 yards, he had a better second half but overall he's been a disappointment, I mean, for some people, not for me because I never expected any good QB play from him, he's been a bust in my books since St. Louis.

Gee, that's funny because your OP distinctly asks about the statuses of Vollmer, Jackson and Cannon in regards to the O-line. Helps to read the thread suggested instead of just ignoring it out of hand because you don't like the title..

I thought he was making a joke. Never seen anyone refer to a thread as "mine" before here.

I read the whole thread. I am not optimistic those anecdotes are good news, in fact, what if we get more injuries? I'm more concerned with who might replace players until they get healthy.

Thanks for telling me what i think, anyway.

the offensive line will not be an issue this week........the giants might be the worst front 7 the pats have faced this year.....especially now that the one guy who did anything against the run (Hankins) is on IR....the first few games they may have been decent against the run but over the last month, they are the worst in the league against the run pass.....pretty much every aspect of defense

their offense is a different story

No one told you what you think. You told everyone what you thought with your responses..

Well, so much for "good injury news."

Time to get some warm bodies in here.

guard Tre' Jackson (left knee) and offensive tackles Sebastian Vollmer (concussion) and Marcus Cannon (toe) have been ruled out of Sunday's game by the New England Patriots.

This leaves the Patriots with just five available offensive linemen against the Giants, which will likely spark the promotion of one blocker from the practice squad. Second-year player Chris Barker and rookie Blaine Clausell are the top candidates.

Patriots already rule out Jamie Collins and three offensive linemen
