Is Peyton toast?

No one is more clutch in September than Peyton Manning.

He'll be ok-to-good until the weather gets cooler.

He's not toast but he is done.

I have mixed feelings on his divisional playoff game performance, watching the highlights from it, there are times where he plants his right leg firmly and times where he hurries and doesn't fully plant it (not because of pressure but because it appears he couldn't).

He has an awkward leg movement that clearly shows injury when looking closely.

Compare Peyton's right leg here:

To Tom here:

Peyton's leg goes flailing helplessly after half of his throws, Tom barely leaves the turf no matter how much strength and zip he puts behind his throws.

Peyton's ARM and HAND may be shot, but he was very clearly having trouble planting properly to put lower body strength into his throws. And it's not the first lower body injury he's suffered recently, in 2013 he hurt both ankles pretty badly for much of the season, in 2014 it was the quad.

Week 1 and Pouty Face already getting boo'ed off his own field.
"We want Brock" chants incoming.

Goodnight, sweet Prince.

Cheer up, Broncos fans. Remember that Super Bowl that Peyton got you to?

He looks done

Note to Elway:

Playoff winner Tim Tebow is available!

looking bad.

He is making Rosie O'Donnell look good in comparison.

Ok, I take back what I said, he might be. His arm looks useless.

It truly is sad to see one of the greats fade. It's even more sad seeing people revel in it.

It's weird, there's definitely some competing impulses there. As a fan of the Patriots, I love what it means for our chances in the AFC if Peyton's done. But as a fan of the game, it's definitely sad to see him like this. He deserves to go out in a better way. Unfortunately, football rarely lets guys leave on their own teams and in a fitting way.

He hasn't thrown a td in 3 of his last 5 regular season games

Who knows exactly what his arm's going to look like come week 17...but probably won't be pretty. He's lost a lot of zip, and this is at Mile High with the warmest weather of the season--not chilly Foxboro in January.

He wants to win enough games to break Farve's reg season win record and the yardage record, if lucky he will engineer another 1 and done in the playoffs.

He is done.

Peyton Manning with the 4th-lowest YPA (4.38) of his career (min. 10 passes). That's very very troubling. Passing game looked like Indy loss.

Boo hoo hoo, Scott, boo hoo hoo.

Manning fellators like Kacsmar are why I will be oh-so-enjoying the toastification of Manning when it happens.

(I also still remain amazed that Football Outsiders couldn't hire anyone better than Kacsmar. Of course, FO also keeps all their stats & data in Excel spreadsheets (not a joke) rather than an actual database, so who the heck knows what they're thinking over there.)

Anyone see the CBS post game?

Esiason taking the Phil Simms approach and making excuses. Blaming Kubiak's offense on why Manning looked the way he did. Uh did he not see the only time they got in the red zone is when they went to just pounding the ball?

Also them calling it a defensive battle between top defenses. Those defenses might end up being good but sorry that was far from a defensive battle it was an offensive suck fest.
