So that makes Jeff Fisher an Tony Dungy , two coaches who the Patriots have owned constantly, who've come out to say that there is no issue here. Add in Ron Rivera and thats 3 coaches to 1 Mike Tomlin
Mike McCarthy and Bill O'Brien, also. That's 5.

Right after we win in court the ESPN article comes out w bs from the league trying to make pats look bad

Now league controlled radio headsets malfunction at first game. Intentional attempt by RG controlled league to make pats look bad? If he can't win in court just drag us thru the mud every way possible

New trending video:

LOL! Yes, he was clearly signalling the play clock operator. EDIT: I now know this to actually be true, just leaving my error for posterity's sake. :)

If you really want to ask about clock questions, why didn't the time start rolling again after Gronk's fumble recovery? NE should have been able to run off ~25 seconds, but the clock didn't commence until after the ball was snapped.

How is this even possible ? Like Brady can control the time clock lol

His Facebook friend essentially pulls down his pants in front of 43,000 people. Play clock was supposed to stopped along with game clock. Best part is, though, the Patriots are trying to kill the clock, not preserve it.

Irrelevant. People are so stupid in today's society it's not even funny. It's like they try to fit the square block into the circle block hole.

Heh, he actually probably was. Obviously not as part of a conspiracy, but the hand signal Brady was giving is an officiating signal for "reset the play clock to 25 seconds" which is given after certain play stoppages where the clock is supposed to stop running. Brady was probably using this signal to let the officials know that they forgot to signal for the play clock to be stopped and needed to reset the time.

Incredible that anyone would mistake it for some sort of play clock conspiracy though haha.

Thanks for the correction. Do you recall what happened immediately prior?

Gronks catch near the sideline was ruled out of bounds before that.

No clue, but the play before is listed as "(7:58) (Shotgun) 12-T.Brady pass incomplete deep right to 87-R.Gronkowski." so my guess is that it just took the officials a long time to bring the ball back to the line of scrimmage from downfield or something.

EDIT: If anyone is curious why they would wait to reset the clock to 25 seconds until the ball is back at the line of scrimmage instead of immediately setting it to 40, the alternative is forcing players to waste their energy sprinting back upfield to the huddle immediately after the play so they can fit a shortened huddle within the 40-second play clock. I guess instead they just have the officials and players walk back upfield to the line of scrimmage and then reset the play clock to 25 so that there is enough time to do a full huddle.

Maybe he's actually a genius troll.. you can't make out the play clock until its near the 20 mark, in that video.:eek:

Context is a beautiful thing.

What Brady did is an official NFL signal to reset the 25-second play clock. People are complete idiots.
They are when they are unable to believe that the reason their favorite team lost was because they were outplayed. It's easier to say it must have been cheating.

Remember when Cowher came out after spygate and said that it had nothing to do with them lossing in the AFCCH twice? Too bad Steelers fans didn't care.

One point everyone seems to miss: The NFL changed vendors for communications equipment, Motorola to Bose, this year. One media guy recognized it:

Babe Laufenberg

Take note. Steelers head set problems will not be confined to just NE home games. New system in place. My understanding it is not a good one
It was last year that the NFL changed from Motorola to Bose. So I don't think that was an issue.
