how much deflate gate are we going to hear tonight?

For those not watching, they spent about 5 minutes at the start of the 2nd quarter talking about it. When they promote the NBC telecast coming up September 10, it is a natural segue. Notable comments:

Collinsworth: Mike Tomlin has it right 'I can't believe we're bringing last year's baggage into this year's season' but what's the compromise here? Either Tom Brady cheated, or the league has falsely suspended one of the greatest icons in the game, and is there something in between that? I don't know that there is .... It is a very difficult point in the league history right now and unfortunately it is taking away some of the enthusiasm for the upcoming season .... The are probably going to, for the first time, have some real evidence of what happens to footballs after one half of play.

They also listed the ball handling procedure changes.

Interesting comments by Collingsworth. He was all aboard the "Brady cheated!" bandwagon during the final minute of the Super Bowl. If HE thinks Brady is innocent (and I don't think he would have said that if he didn't) hopefully this will open other peoples eyes.

I liked Collingsworth's key point "More evidence" this year with more testing!

collinsworth doesn't like brady at all.
he still sounds angry..." look me in my eye tom and tell me youre innocent "..brady should of told him to **** off

That's fine if they test the game balls but it is too warm right now. Get back to me around week 14.

In the promo for the Season Opener, no shot of Brady in the vid.

Well as of right now he is gonna miss the game so NBC isn't gonna use him in the promos

I'm just happy Collinsworth did not go into his same tired old "so I said Tom, look me in the eyes and tell me if you cheated" routine he gave us for most of the Super Bowl. :D

Gronk commercial! then I realized it was from the NFL*.:(

I guess CC doesn't get it based on that quote "They are probably going to, for the first time, have some real evidence of what happens to footballs after one half of play" given that there won't much football shrinkage until November or so when it gets cold.

I've yet to see Brady in any previews or replays. Lots of Pats stuff but nothing with him. Disgusting

I don't think it's a snub, I just think NBC is wary of promoting a game using a player who may not be appearing in it. They are kind of damned if they do, damned if they don't.

That's not true. Before this Collinsworth was always gushing over Brady. I believe Collinsworth was a **** in the aftermath of Spy Gate and obviously after deflate gate (the Super Bowl was outrageous). But in general he seems to like both Brady and Belichick.

I enjoy him as an analyst...although him and Michaels really did damage in my eyes during the Super Bowl broadcast.

But CC has basically played neutral on this, suggesting it could be one way or the other. Meh...

I agree, although I would love to see the results of how much (if at all) a ball's PSI can change even without a change in temperature. Does ball preparation play a part? Does the amount of action a ball sees play a part? Or how wet it gets?

NBC is not going to use him in promos because as it stands he will be missing the game.

That and the fact that everyone outside of Pats Nation would throw their Papa John's at the screen if they see Brady on it.

Please sue for defamation Tom! We need more cameos in terrible Seth McFarlane movies.

Bus is a whiny *****. **** him.

Ummm, I think you are being Black Glass Half-Full there! ;)

is not

"If HE thinks Brady is innocent (and I don't think he would have said that if he didn't)"

Pretty clear from his quote that he was not taking any sides at this point.

well, ESPN would have posed the question "Did Brady cheat & get what he deserved" or "Did Brady cheat & manage to get away with it"

Pitt had 3 guys with hand on the ground, but 4 on the line mostly, more 4-3 than usual.
