Unfair and unbalanced.Wouldn't you? The NFL has played ESPN like a fiddle. It's great this is being talked about now, but it took the emails from the Pats to do it. What does that say about the media in general?

They may be afraid of a Tom Brady lawsuit, and they arguably should be. IMHO, one of the toughest problems with a defamation lawsuit is proving that the statement itself is false. In this case, the "11/12 were 2 PSI low" statement is proven to be absolutely, 100% false. The Patriots would ESPN if Mort revealed his source? That doesn't make sense to me.

Be aware I am a dangerous combination of a highly biased fan with no education or experience in the law.... but the more googling I do about this, the more it seems to me that when a reporter publishes something from an anonymous, source, they tend to own that comment moreso than if it was sourced. ESPN may indeed have some liability.
I think what happened is ESPN's lawyers told everyone to just shut the heck up until they decide how to proceed.
....which is close to Mr and Mrs Brady's net worth.500 million sounds about right.
btw, isn't kraft the lead guy on the committee that negotiates these espn contracts?
