And you two can be wrong again together. Isn't that cute.

Very mature, I'm glad you're one of our mods, makes me feel good.

Re: WOW, we had 2 #1's, and yet the Jets have had a ten times better draft than us...

What I am going to guess is going to happen, is that with our 3rd rounder we end up drafting Stewart Bradley or Zak De Ossie, and than everyone who has been complaining is going to say things such as "an excellent versatile safety, our future ILB, and a 2008 first rounder from the hapless 49ers! What a great day in Patriots history!" Just hold on guys we have 9 picks left, it will be okay.

Scott:

You are 100% correct.
Just like you I am a long time Patriots fan...but the truth is...if you dare question any moves of the Pats FO, the "long timers" say that you have no logic are a liar and a Jets fan.

Way to go for stating your opinion and keeping it real
Yea,
what you said!

Re: WOW, we had 2 #1's, and yet the Jets have had a ten times better draft than us...

the jets gave up their entire draft for two good, not great, players(a total of 6 picks)

and plus the draft is by no way over

For the Jets it is.

ps - today Mangia played out a radical innovation in one-upmanship ...
which i have long speculated about.
He morphed quantity into quality.

Last year and this, the temptation to do that has been ever-present for the Pats.
Now, we can see how it plays out.

Re: WOW, we had 2 #1's, and yet the Jets have had a ten times better draft than us...

Harris a 6th round talent, lmao shut up. Thats beyond stupid.

We have 9 picks, in rounds where the odds of finding a diamond in the rough is little to none. I'm not gonna sit here and pile on all day, but you can't say we've done better than the Jets. You just cant. They found two impact players, we found one.

We traded our first for a first next year to a team on the up rise. How much you want to bet were picking in the same spot as this year? You watch.

According to the mock drafts they got two impact players. I'll take the opinion of BB/SP over Kiper, McShay, Maylock etc. Let's see them in game 1 next year before you declare them stars.
SF 49's don't play better than .500 ball next season, IMHO.

Re: WOW, we had 2 #1's, and yet the Jets have had a ten times better draft than us...

Scott think about what you wrote even in the first round 1/3 of the players are of NFL by year 3 , of the remaining 1/3 become backups and only 1/3 are starter.

After the first this ratio crashes down to nothing and yet you make a bold prediction in a way that has me dumbfolded.

Think about what YOU just said. Who cares if the Pats have 7 frigging picks tomorrow. Most of those won't pan out.

Now, I am not saying the Jets and the Phins have had better drafts, but the Pats draft has NOT been great and your fooling yourself if you think it has.

The Pats got TAKEN badly by the 49ers. BADLY. All you have to do is look at the trade Dallas made to get back into the first round or at the trade between the Chargers and Bears to know this to be true.

Re: WOW, we had 2 #1's, and yet the Jets have had a ten times better draft than us...

Just wait until the Pats line up Randy Moss on one side and Stallworth on the other. I'm confident the Pats are going to make this trade with the Raiders. Revis is going to learn a thing or too from these receievers. I think the Pats trading with the Niners for their pick next year was a good idea. I would take my chances that the Niners will be a .500 team at best.

Re: WOW, we had 2 #1's, and yet the Jets have had a ten times better draft than us...

Have you already forgotten about the Pats' free-agent signings? And next year when we have a pick in the high 20's and another in the low-teens to single digits in a much richer draft?

Calm down.

Which free agent signing was it that gives them the depth they need at ILB to feel comfortable going into the season? Stallworth? Nope, he's a WR. So is Washington.

Go back and look. They signing of Thomas only brings them back to having 4 quality starters. They don't have ANY quality back-ups and THAT is the issue.

This is such a frigging wet dream on your part.

Re: WOW, we had 2 #1's, and yet the Jets have had a ten times better draft than us...

Who lets 12-year-olds on this forum?

Good question. There seem to be a lot of them tonight.

The Bills and the Jets need big talent names now, cause they don't have many to start with.

But to look at what might happen when one expects a first rounder and a second rounder to be your saviours, cf. Maroney and Jackson. How would that have worked out for us, if we had depended on them to lead us to the promised land?

And any talk of "smacking people in the mouth for a decade" is plain foolish. Decades don't exist in the NFL, player-wise.

Ya know, money might also be an issue here...perhaps the decision was that two first rounders would be unfeasible...after the free agency binge, and....maybe...considering Asante. 4th and fifth rounders might be able to help with depth, maybe...and they are much cheaper.

Awesome...thank you for this! O'C isn't proven, and Randall may never be more than a role player, but the others are either All-Pro caliber or part of our core winners...

Role players on day two are just fine.
