I really want to see Vereen back. Having a Blount/Gray and then him on 3rd or vs physical Ds is a good problem to have. I like Ridley a lot but now i just don't know where he fits..

I have a feeling the ball control issues are what makes Ridley the odd man out.

Ridley's gone, i'd be surprised if they keep him. Anyone think we can get a decent trade for him?

If ball control was a major concern Blount wouldn't be here either.

If Ridley can make a complete recovery, he's the best pound-the-rock back we have. I'd like to see a 1 year prove it deal, but maybe he can find better somewhere.

2 fumbles in 216 touches as a Pat is not a problem.
LB had 4 fumbles in 125 carries with the Pats. fumble/32 carries
SR had 9 fumbles in 649 carried with the pats fumble/72 carries

Over his career LB has had 13 fumbles in 703 carries which is a fumble every 54 touches.

Can't trade him but I think he'd do well on the Cowboys.

RB - Blount, Gray
3rd down - free agent (could be Vereen), White
STer - Bolden
camp fodder - Gaffney, Lewis (obviously, one of these could beat out Gray for a spot)
also, we might re-sign Ridley for Gray's spot

I don't understand where this idea that Ridley is some average RB who can be easily discarded comes from. Take the Colts game out of the equation, and I find Ridley > Blount. Evidently BB felt the same way as he let Blount walk last year, although some of that admittedly may be due to salary cap concerns.

Well he's gonna be a free agent so never mind about the trade but don't the cowboys already have DeMarco Murray don't see why they would sign Ridley.

It's all going to be about the dollars.

huh? like stated above..it's not a problem...
I dont think Ridley is a problem at all. I do see a lot of fumbleitis talk over the past couple of years and Blount is actually no better when you look at the numbers.

He has slightly pulled ahead of SR this year because he has had some more touches in the playoffs without a fumble. But he was useless anyway.

It all depends on money. Ridley and Vereen are both FA, so it's just gonna depend on the price. Normally I would think Vereen would be cheaper, as he has multiple years ruined by injuries, and has never really broken out in any year. While Ridley had a huge year in 2012, but coming of an ACL tear he may actually be cheaper...I don't think we will be able to keep both.

Murray and Dez Bryant are free agents. Cowboys absolutely must re-sign Bryant. But Murray will likely command big money and the Cowboys can't really afford him unless they want to screw up the rest of their team. They can probably get solid production from a guy like Ridley, for way cheaper than Murray. Especially with their o-line.

I just got a bad feeling about Vereen. Pretty sure he has the same agent as Welker. So I dont see those negotiations going well. Unless Vereen loves it here and wants to say just don't see him coming back.
