Whenever he has 2 bad seasons in a row

I just hope it doesn't come down to Belichick wanting an even cheaper option at QB

The question is not even cheaper, it's a question of utility and time.

stop down playing everything else to pimp brady. we all know you love brady. we all love brady. but it's just not fair for our coaching staff and other players when guys like you just think 'without brady this team is nothing'

without malcolm butler brady may be 3-3 on SBs. and baltimore is our worst nightmare. they matchup so well against us. but at the end of the day our defense came through.

again, without brady we are going no where. but we are not jacksonville jaguars either.
football is the ultimate team game. don't forget that.

Without Brady we don't win against Baltimore, so just stop.

Incase you don't remember, coming back from two 14 point deficits had never been done before.
Without Tom, it doesn't happen four weeks ago either.

Fascinating parallel to this thread, n'est c'pas?

If you are talking about Favre, he was a terrible game manager, hated watching film, and didn't know what a nickelback was until he retired. He was at his best playing on pure instinct.

IF he had taken good care of himself, put in the time and the homework, you probably would be correct.

no i'm talking about Elway

you lost me. you said 'brady carried the team'. that's implying carrying a really bad team to a playoff. we got to the playoffs by a collective effort led by a field general tom brady. this isn't a lottery team. lottery team with a great QB don't win the SB.

without brady, we probably will be fighting for a wild card spot. it all depends how well jimmy G adapts and learn. we have a good team without brady. our D performed at a high level. and without brady, i'm sure BB will adapt and probably run the ball more and not let jonas gray stay in the dog house.

but we are a SB team with brady.

comprendo?

without brady, we probably don't win against cinci and maybe few more games here and there. but that's not the point. we have a good team without brady. but we are a SB team with brady.

Here's a news flash for you: A "good" team in the NFL is worthless.
Miami, Buffalo, Detroit, Dallas, and too many other teams for me to want to bother listing had "good" teams.

Start any other quarterback for the 2012 Patriots and see how far you finish from the AFC Championship game. This Patriot team was fantastic and it still doesn't get beyond its first playoff game without Touchdown Tom

i don't even know what we are arguing. lol duh. it's a QB driven league. and we have no idea how good jimmy G is yet.

again, don't downplay this team and our great coaching staff. it makes you sound like a total 'brady only' homer. if brady retires, you sound like you will bolt and root for somebody else.

Not nearly as good as Brady - not even in the same hemisphere. That's how good he is.

Just STFU

dude, just accept it. brady can't play forever. in 3-8 years brady will retire for good. 40? 45? who knows. but he will someday retire. just don't kill youself. it's not worth it.

I've become much more optimistic about Brady's window after watching him this season.

I can't remember a season in the last few years where TB had more crucial scrambles to extend drives. On some of them he even juked out linebackers. He also seems to have got much more mobile in the pocket than he had been the last few seasons.

Also, I think he was so much better at standing in the pocket and throwing the football while taking a hit. Remember few years ago when TB was seeing phantom pressure and would just go down at the first hint of pressure? I thought he was nearing the end then cos that's what people say happens to old QBs who's taken a few hits but remarkably he has reversed the trend this season.

Looking at these two trends, maybe it's the way he takes care of his body and mentality. This season definitely gives me hope that TB can be at this level for a few more years, and with our young defense the sky is the limit.

I'm 41 and still in shape like a Greek god so I guess Brady can play at least a few more years.
Well, I'm in my 60's and I'm pretty sure (but not totally) that Brady can't play another 25 years.

I think Brady is going to play at a high enough level to win till he is 42... so i think 5 years.

IDK if he will be here for that but Favre played well when he was 41 and Brady takes care of himself better than Favre.

Also his game is short passing mostly which is the last thing to go.
Favre didn't play well when he was 31.

Did you hear him after hugging Josh "I love this ****" He is totally addicted to this game its
his High.

His window is a double window opening and it's wide as ever and not closing any time soon.

And Favre was a pill popping, beer guzzling party animal.
So? My point wasn't about his body, it was about his head. He could have taken better care of his body then anybody in the league and it wouldn't have fixed the things that were wrong with him. There's a reason he only won one time, and it was against a Pats team with Bledsoe playing QB and a headcoach who'd checked out.

My point is Favre still went to an NFC Championship game at… what? 42 years old?
Wasn't one of his last seasons one of his best? And he took awful care of himself.

With Tom dedicating his off-the-field life to holding back Father Time, there's no point in even speculating on this question. I doubt the drop-off age for other QB's is going to be the bar we measure Brady by

Dumb post and dumb arguments. Tons of factors, nobody knows, nobody can know. Just ride the high from the win, idiots.
