Let me preface by stating that this is how I understand the Pats draft. Every player has a value to the team. For instance if Calvin Johnson slides to 8 the Pats should seriously consider moving up to grab him since he is the #1 overall player on their board.
In that same manner, if the Pats use this board and nobody from the list is left @ 24 they should move down. If this is not possible they should select the best player available from the 2nd round draft board.
Note that I don't have every perceived first rounder here because I do not think they are all fits for the Pats. For example Alan Branch has a questionable motor which to me is a big no-no for a first round draftee.
Calvin johnson 1: best wr prospect I've ever seen
Adrian peterson 2: violent runner with great vision
Laron landry 3: ballhawkw/ measurables, experience, and character
Joe thomas 4: franchise LT, dante would need to make him meaner
Adam carriker 5: Closest thing to Seymour I've seen
Jamaal anderson 6: Another 3-4 DE with good motor
leon hall 7: my #1 corner
pat willis 8: best lb prospect in the draft, character is gold
joe staley 9: superb athlete with extreme potential for LT
marshawn lynch 10: great runner/compliment to Lawrence
brady quinn 11: Franchise QB...
john beason 12: athletic lb with exp. in 3-4
puz 13: super productive lb with exp.
victor abiamiri 14: I think he can play 3-4 olb, super explosive
david harris 15: fits inside the 3-4 and has good speed
revis 16: #2 corner
griffin 17: athletic safety
blalock 18: best guard in this draft, very strong 40+ reps.
Which player have I overlooked here?
