The NFC isn't as strong as it was in the past season or two, but who is the best team right now? Who will be representing the NFC in the super bowl? Carson Palmers injury really throws a monkey wrench into the already jumbled NFC picture. For me, I can't help but think its still Seattle despite not being nearly as good as a year ago. I don't feel as though Green Bay has the defense.

Seattle until proven otherwise.

It's not Arizona (sans Palmer), Green Bay (no defense), Philadelphia (unstable QB situation, no defense), Dallas (Romo, no defense), Detroit, San Francisco, or obviously anyone in the NFC South.

NFC right now ... imploding.

Seattle is not going to get the #1 seed they had last year so without home field through out I cant see them getting back to the SB I got the lions making it to the big dance right now

I agree the Seattle and New Orleans are home team bullies, but it doesn't look like either will get the first seed.

Going with my preseason prediction of Philadelphia, but I wouldn't bet much on it at all.

Without home field, I don't see Seattle getting back, but who knows?

If the Lions maxes out their potential on offense, they will be deadly in the Playoffs

Don't rule out Philly. Sanchez is on fire tonight.

Of course, I may have just gone insane. LOL

Seattle and San Fran are getting healthier they're then best teams in my.opinion although their records say so otherwise they have a lot of talent returning

They've also got those annoying scrambling Quarterbacks.

In my opinion, it's Detroit.

Their defense is still ranked #1 in the league in points and is top 5 in total defense. Their offense has been middling so far, partially because of injuries to key stars and inconsistent QB play at times, but Detroit has the requisite ingredients to be a top contender out of the NFC. Any team with that type of defensive front and explosive offensive talent has to be taken seriously. That and their propensity to pull wins out of nowhere make them a very dangerous team in the NFC.

Moreover, their rivals all have issues as well. Not that they don't have their problems too, it's just that they have the fewest right now. All that can change easily. If picking a number two, I'd say its the 49ers. Getting back key defensive stars for the stretch run will be a huge boon for their defense for the remainder of the season. That can't be overlooked.

I can't trust Stafford. Or Caldwell for that matter. I'll never get over that timeout he took in the playoffs with Indy.

Things change so much from week to week but right now I would pick Green Bay. I really like the move of Clay Matthews to inside linebacker. That may solve some of their run defense issues.

I don't buy into Philly at all. I have a lot of respect for Chip Kelly, great mind offensively, but its just too gimicky for me. They are the Oregon of the NFL, and Oregon despite being good for sometime, never won the big one.

I want to say Seattle cuz they are the champs, but no. NO to inconsistent, and GB just killing bad teams at home. And Arizona just lost their QB.I want to say Detroit, but Stafford is a pea brain.

I'm gonna say SF. They're getting some big players back defensively (Aldon Smith, Bowman, Willis) and that team is just battle tested. Its also probably their last big run with Harbaugh rumored to leave. A Pats-9ers SB would also mean a battle of the 2 teams that have gone to 3 straight conference championship games...

At this point I hope it's Philadelphia with Sanchez at QB for the rest of the season and through the playoffs. Wouldn't that piss off the Jets and their fans?

And if the Pats somehow don't make it to the Super Bowl, I'd like to see the Eagles win it. And when they do the post game interview with MVP Mark Sanchez he will tell the Jets to suck it, live on worldwide TV.
