Because it's one malcontent b!tching about a multi-year long-term deal for another malcontent b!tching about a multi-year long-term deal.

Unless the Patriots are willing to go UFA market price for Briggs but not Samuel, and the Bears are willing to go UFA market price for Samuel but not Briggs, it doesn't make sense.
