And I really don't care about your radio station, so stop trying to use Patsfans.com for free advertising.

fair enough.....no more links

but i stand by my opinion......:)

my post characterized what he said just fine......can "lead by example" on field.....cant in locker room
What do you mean can't? Gasper said he sees Brady as more of a lead by example player than vocally. He never said he couldn't.

"and he's been put in this position the last couple of years where he is one of those guys who is supposed to lead with what he says and i dont think thats a real strength"

Chris Gasper on Brady

i always thought he was a great lead by example guy

Quit being a troll. The very words you quoted proved you were wrong.

even Gasper ( a brady homer) commented that Tom has never been the most natural leader of a locker room

i always thought he was a great lead by example guy

Again, this isn't a matter of opinion. This is a matter of fact. Let it die.

Why do I get the feeling Deus Irae goes to bars and tells people stories of how often he's right on message boards.

Gasper says: I've never seen Brady as this great leader.
Gasper says: He's a great lead by example guy but not a great vocal leader.

To anyone with reading comprehension abilities it's pretty clear that based on each of these two parts of the statement, Gasper thinks great leaders are both great leader by example and great vocal leaders. He sees Tom Brady as only one of those things, and thus, as he says right to start, not a great leader.

So technically, James87654 was not wrong. He said exactly what Gasper said. That Brady is not a great leader. He then went on to clarify that Brady is great at SOME aspects of leadership. This is not the same as him saying Brady is a great leader.

Deus, James made you look pretty silly on this one. You need to polish off the old thinking cap. Hopefully being wrong on a message board won't damage your self-esteem too much. But for some reason I've got a funny feeling you'll cling to pretending you're right as long as you need to. The legend lives on! (...in his own mind.)

Boom goes the dynamite

and he contributes so much to the board

its a shame he refuses to let people have differing opinions and thinks his opinions are the indisputable truth

and i admit that some of my posts are tongue in cheek and trollish

and if a mod ever tells me i have gone too far and to stop then i will oblige

but some of my posts are good......and funny

anyway.......i stand by my original assertion.....:)

Boom goes the dynamite

The Denver troll is on your side. That should tell you something.
And why would you even bring that up? It's stupid. Tom Brady and Ray Lewis are two different people. Wow. You and Gasper are geniuses. Thanks. When's your book coming out?

You're also the guy who is accusing people of blind Brady homerism. Meanwhile... this.

Why not just start *****ing about his hair cut or his uggz? No difference from that and `highlighting` the fact that he doesn't give sermons in a pregame huddle, or dance with fireworks, as if `more proof` of his alleged worthlessness.

Straight up Twilight Zone posting.

If you're not intentionally trolling with this garbage, and you think it's actually some kind of point, then.. well... wow.

Hope this thread is locked and dumped soon.

i actually think it has been a pretty good thread

Gasper makes an interesting point.....and you make some good points as well

It isn't a good point. It's utterly irrelevant. I cannot think of a single conversation where it would be a worthwhile information. It's like saying he's not left handed, drives a green car, or has a cavity.

It's a totally worthless observation.

If I was Brady I would walk right out the door and not look back. BB has done nothing to give him top tier players to work with. He deserves better. We as fans deserve better.

"i have a lot of respect for tom.....but ive never seen him as this great leader.......i always thought he was a great lead by example guy......but i never looked at him as someone who through his words was gonna fire up the team and get everybody behind him......"

oct 3rd.......hour 3......about 9 minutes in

Seems to me Gasper is saying exactly what you've conveyed - that he's "never seen him as this great leader"

Despite Deus always wanting to pick a fight here on Patsfans, Gasper is talking about Brady's style of leadership and appears to be saying that what this team needs is a Bruschi type leader - and that Brady falls short of that in terms of his style

Deus can't seem to see the forest through the trees of his own quote of Gasper's statement

I'm not sure if Gasper is truly right in terms of what this team needs - as Brady always seems to set the bar high for himself and his teammates and I'm not sure WHAT these guys need to improve their game (or if that's even possible given the talent)

But I'd say you're right - Gasper is effectively saying Brady's style of leadership falls short of what this team needs

So the team needs Brady speeches in the locker room instead of this? That wins games?

What exactly now is Tom's sudden leadership problem to go right along with his "decline?"

Who cares what Gasper says? "Gasper says, Gasper says." It's an utterly worthless statement, and just because worthless statements are spoken over the radio waves doesn't mean they have any validity.

What exact kind of leadership would Gasper like the most fiery and passionate leader in all of professional sports to adopt to please him?

Stupid topic is stupid.

A conversation about the offensive line has become first Brady's epic decline and now his lack of leadership.
This conversation is an epic facepalm and a complete embarrassment to human intelligence.

Let's hope that Brady can use his leadership skills to inspire his team to score more than 7 points on offense tomorrow.

He doesn't do fire work dances though, so I'm not sure his leadership style works.
Gasper should go out and lead the team.
