Why Are We Surprised About The Offensive Line?

Oh, so we're going by quarters now? How did the offensive line do in the 1st half of the Miami game? Zero sacks....well, I guessed they played awesome then.

BTW, did the offensive line miss Mankins today against Minnesota? I ask because on the Vikings Forum they were complaining that their defensive line couldn't get any pressure on Brady.

Sacks are pressures but pressures aren't necessarily sacks. Favre wasn't sacked in the NFC championship against the Saints but they beat the tar out of him.

Also, just because the line played well doesn't mean they wouldn't have played better with Mankins.

Sorry, you're striking out today.

Again, why would you assume they would have played better with Mankins? You're making an assumption when there is no evidence to support your claim.

The fact remains that Brady was not pressured today. The Viking fans saw it. I saw it.

Thanks for playing.

Great to see the offensive line turn things around this week, protect Brady quite nicely, and allow Ridley to run for 100+ yds.

I think that's exactly what we all expected to see, so let's hope they continue to improve.

There's also no evidence that the Patriots would have done better today with Brady than they would have with Mallett, you just have a reasonable conclusion based on their data gathered from their previous performances.

Now you're comparing the past performances of Tom Brady to Logan Mankins as if they're even remotely on the same level (especially last year) ? So what "part performace" are you talking about that would justify the organization using $6 million in cap space for Logan this year? Maybe 2011?....because it certainly wasn't last year (especially the end of the year).

I'm curious...are the Vikings fans wrong when they say their defensive line couldn't get any pressure on Brady today? That seemed to be a common complaint....I guess they didn't realize that we didn't have Logan Mankins.
