Wes Welker suspended 4 games

Maybe it's meth and WW actually stands for Wes Welker instead of Walter White!
That's Heisenberg to you!!

I wonder if it is because he has been having focusing issues. I posted a couple weeks ago that his drop rate skyrocketed the last two years. He had an 2.9% drop rate in 2011, a 5.7% drop rate in 2012, and 9.0 drop rate last year. Other than his first year back from his ACL tear, Welker never had a drop rate higher than 3.8% with the Pats prior to his last year with them.

Also, everyone who talks to him say his speech is slower today than a few years ago (Greg Bedard said it today on 98.5).

If the reports are true, he was just taking drugs in his free time.

All MDMA/Ecstasy/"Molly" is either cut with an upper or a downer, so this is likely how he tested for the amphetamine.

The Broncos got a tough schedule over their first four games:

Colts
KC
@ Seattle
bye
Cards

Three home games, but all four teams they face had 10 or more wins last year.

Good--let's get them a loss or two early on.

I thought they would get a loss or two early before the Welker suspension. It could be two or three now. I think they lose in Seattle at full strength. Even when the Seahawks sucked, it was tough to beat them at home.

Broncos 0-3 to start.

IDK, the Chiefs could be a team that has a massive decline this season. That said, I could see them being 1-3 by the time Welker comes back. I think the Cards will be good this year. They were the most under the radar 10 win team last year.

Probably close to BBs reaction to it.

Adderall probably.

Doubt it. When it's adderall, that seems to be what they call it. It's not like amphetemines aren't (or at least used to) as common as candy in most of pro sports. Hell, in baseball, they used to have large bowls of them like m&ms in the dressing room.

What's worse is the rumor of him taking Molly at Kentucky and it had been cut with Amphies. That is not a good combination and one has to ask what the heck he was doing.

If he took something, I hope it would be something that helps concussions (not that I think there is anything that helps other that time and cessation of head trauma). The only positive would be that this gives him more time to properly heal and forces him to not rush back into the game.

Maybe some thinking time will help...unlikely, but maybe.

I'm truly sorry to hear this, and I I'm sure that it's difficult to give up the game, but I wish Wes would just retire.

I believe Mathis is suspended for the first four games, so Manning gets lucky and misses him. Lucky break there.

Aren't those others (MDMA, etc) illegal in the NFL too ? Sorry I'm a drug virgin, I no nothing of these things but I'm not sure the "just taking drugs in his free time" makes sense to me.

I understand that it's a cultural thing and/or his headaches are so bad this stuff gives him some relief but man...just not a smart thing to do.

We'll see. Indy's defense still looks terrible and Denver gets them at home this time. KC has 6-10 written all over them. Seattle will probably give 'em another beat down, but the Cards aren't exactly frightening.

I see 3-1 with or without Welker, making this suspension a non-factor. Even more so when you consider he was likely to miss a couple weeks with the concussion anyway. The most perfectly timed suspension in NFL history.
