I'm sure the Broncos are terrified of Josh Boyce. And getting back Gronkowski? Yeah, for 6 games, before he gets a tummyache or something and then can't play in the postseason, again.

You DO understand the irony of your post in the Talib thread, do you?

I wonder what kind of bad blood there is now between Talib and Welker, after the former accused the midget of taking him out of the AFCCG with a dirty/illegal hit…. :D
If I recall that was Belichick, Talib didn't really say anything.

Let's put Brandon Lafell and Hoomanawaweewwee at CB now. Is this team getting dumber and dumber?

You mean like Talib?

I have no doubt if the Pats parted with Gronkowski you'd be the first one pissing and moaning about it anyway.

Yes, because a broken arm and a blown ACL are "tummyaches".

the more I think about it, the more the sheer numbers of the Talib deal boggle the mind......the guy has never played a full 16

If we sign Revis i'll be happy

Broncos know they have a tight window with Manning, so they are mortgaging the future to win it all right now.

I wish Belichick wasn't too pig headed to take the same strategy.

It's not Belichick. It's the Krafts.

It's not pig headed. It's a strategy that's taken them to seven AFCCG's in 13 seasons.

Teams that mortgage the future to "win it all right now" usually end up with a big mortgage...just ask Dan Snyder.

You need to question though when you have possibly the best QB of all time, have we done enough to try and win it all..sure this "value bargain shopping" has worked to get us to the AFC- championship game along with some luck. but we HAVE NOT won a superbowl in 9years. nearly a decade having one of the top QB's of all time. something needs to change with the way the team does business

if we dont go cheap on Deion Branch..maybe we win a superbowl in 2006

just the fact that the team is always a top contender to make it to the superbowl says Yes they are doing enough.

If the patriots break teh bank for asante, and branch in '05 and it doesn't work out we never see welker/moss. Maybe we have huge contract issues.

coulda shoulda woulda is a fun game, but i like to look at the reality of things. the moves the front office has and continues to make are for the best of the team now and the future. I personally dont want to ever be the jets/bills/dolphins constant suckitude because of stupid contracts

denver fans are going to be upset when the realized just how injury prone he is

Yeah you might get a Welker/Moss or you could get an Amendola/Wilson and we know Amendola had an awful year

But aren't the pats going to rebuild (and probably suck) for a few years when Brady retires in two or three seasons anyway? You can Bash manning and Elway all you want for failing the past couple of years but at least Elway is trying to improve this team and give Manning one last shot.

Meanwhile it seems BB is surrounding Brady with unproven and lackluster receivers and asking him to carry the load. BB has tried like hell to improve the defense with mixed results. The pass rush has been awful for years and there is still major issues with amount of revolving door corner backs this teams has had.

Yeah but, if he is healthy at the end of the year, that team is going to be ridiculous. Especially if Chris Harris comes back. Pats can't afford to not come away with a quality corner. Still can't believe Verner went to Tampa for only about 5.5 mill....

What's so hard to believe about that? He's a cover 2 zone corner that can't play man to man. That's why the market was so weak for him, no one really wanted him.

I kind of agree. What hurts is that Denver is the #1 seed and they filled some major holes. They improved their secondary and got a lockdown physical corner from our team making us weaker and with Ware potentially have a D-Line that is elite. We can make it to the playoffs again, but we will be judged on how we do against the Broncos.

Oh really? I was under the impression he could play man. My bad then.

Another blow to TB's chance at a 4th ring.
