Elway must know a really good hip doctor.

That hip was good enough that most Patsfans.com posters were in love with the idea of re-signing him yesterday. I wonder what happened in the last 24 hours that made that hip such a huge problem...

His large contact happened.

You an advocate of overpaying people? 8 AFC Championships 5 Superbowl Apperances with 3 wins with the 2 losses comming on miracle catchs. Ya I 'm pretty happy with BB. You see I remember when the Pats sucked.

Is it a crime to want the Pats to win another SB in the greatest run in team history? Probably the best the team will ever have?

Do you deny that the Pats got wrecked in the AFCCG because their personnel wasn't on par w/Denver?

Maybe you are fully satisfied but I want to see the greatest coach/QB tandem win another SB before it's over.

I wasn't here yesterday but i bet it was signing him for a reasonable price considering hes been hurt since hes been here.

I do not understand why people sleep on Tillman, I know he is 33 years old but he just turned it back at the end of February and last season he was still extremely productive. He missed 8 games but in his other 8 games he had 41 tackles, 3 forced fumbles, 3 interceptions, 7 pass defends, 4 run stuffs. In 2012, he was completely ridiculous, in 16 games, he had 86 tackles, 10 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries, 3 interceptions, 16 pass defends, 2 run stuffs, 3 defensive touchdowns. He creates turnovers and is a difference maker, I would be all for adding him to this roster, we could use him at safety opposite McCourty, and he would reap havoc.

Blabla stats.

He's an old zone CB.

Hmm if i remember correctly..... MOST OF THE TEAM WAS ON THE INJURY LIST thats all carry on.

The Broncos season ended at the Super Bowl. The Patriots season ended in embarrassment before that. Too many here seem to have put that fact out of their minds.

The broncos were embarrassed a week latter than the patriots. There is only one super bowl champion at the end of the season and it wasn't the donkies.

Belichick will pay for special players. There is a decent chance the Pats sign him. I wouldn't bet money, but Revis is one of those once or twice in a generation players. Belichick has paid for that (see Wilfork and Mankins). A guy like Revis never usually hits the open market. So this is uncharted territory.

This isn't paying big bucks for a typical best player in free agency who will set the market at his position even though he isn't really in the top five in terms of talent. Revis arguably the best CB in NFL history. I think Belichick would pay for that especially since his asking price won't be exponentially more than what Talib or Vontae Davis got.

Agreed. Revis would be our best CB since Mike Haynes. BB will pay for that type of player, believe!

What good is a great CB if he misses your most important games anyway?

Talib was a very good player so does not get me wrong when I say this, but what is the hysteria about? This team never needed Talib or a top CB to get us into the playoffs, it needed Talib to push us over the top come the playoffs so we could win a Super Bowl, but whenever we got into that situation Talib was out with an injury.

A second thought on Talib going to Denver is how it really affects us as a team when we face them. That is all that matters, it does not matter if Talib helps the Broncos win against other teams, the only concern would be how he would hurt us when we meet them. We run our offense through the slot and Rob Gronkowski; do you foresee Talib being a major factor in the defense of either of those things? I do not, I see him matched up with Dobson who is the third or fourth option on this team.

I cannot understand why anyone would advocate for paying a player who is never there when it matters most $10 million a year, the hope that things are different in future years in terms of health can just as easily end up being things are worse and history is the best indication of a future outcome.

The Broncos had nearly as many injuries. Not as bad but pretty bad too.

How sweet would it be?

Jets fans would be jumping out of windows.

It's believed the Bucs will release Revis before 4 p.m. ET on Wednesday in order to avoid giving the Jets a third-round pick in 2014.
New York received a first-round pick, which they used to draft Sheldon Richardson, and a conditional fourth-round pick, which can become a third-round pick, in exchange for Revis last offseason. If Revis is on the roster by 4 p.m. ET on Wednesday, that fourth-round pick becomes a third-rounder.

I was always luke warm on the signing because of his hip. He was elite for five and a half games and mediocre to slightly above average for the rest of the season because of that hip. I only wanted the Pats to re-sign him because they need a LCB and I thought teams might stay away from him because of his injury history and the Pats would get him on value. I would have been upset if the Pats paid Talib what the Broncos paid him. To much of a risk for a guy who has never played a 16 game season.

You killed the Pats for signing an injury prone Amendola for what was a good, but not great contract. And now you applaud the Broncos for signing an injury prone Talib to an elite CB contract. Where is the consistency? If the Broncos signed Talib to a good, but not great contract you might have a point.

Yes but today is a new day, and today Talib is an injury prone JAG who sucks.

I don't know. I still think the Jets got the better end of the deal. They got a first and fourth for Revis to get paid $16 million to play in a rehab year in Tampa. If they kept him, he would be a free agent right now and he would go somewhere else with no compensation other than the compensatory pick which would be a 2015 3rd.

EDIT: Sorry, I didn't click on the link. I guess you were talking about the Pats being a favorite. It is funny because many people think they traded him to keep him from singing with the Pats in 2014. And even after trading him, it could come true.

fixed your post

Enjoy the sour grapes!

Theres no need to state that anyone who didnt like Talib's contract is all due to "sour grapes"

he got overpaid considering what he has done the past two years...If we are talking about the player who played up through the saints game. he is well deserving of that contract.

but he injured his hip(again) and never looked the same. Then was on the sideline in the AFC-championship(again). he's not a reliable player.

and i'm one person who if you read my posts thinks the pats arent doing enough to give brady the best team.

No he is an elite player who can never stay healthy. He isn't a JAG, but his injury history is well displayed.

You are a guy who kills Amendola for being injury prone, but his injury history is comprehible to Talib's.
