Bolts/Bronco Divisional Round Discussion Thread.

I actually think the chargers have a chance to upset them. The way they beat them last time was controlling the clock through running the ball and letting Phillip rivers do his thing when they needed to convert 3rd downs.

they certainly can do that. and this time Denver doesnt have von miller on defense.

So I live in Denver. I don't hate the. Broncos but listening to the media here kills me, they don't think any team can beat the broncos. Most fans and media here think the SB win is in the bag. Now I do believe that the broncos win this weekend and win convincingly. The chargers have had their moments but this won't be it, like someone else said Cincy was moving the ball but made mistakes, but give credit to the SD defense. But they are not doing to manning again in Denver.

If the pats win this weekend we get a great game but while I think the pats have the best chance to beat denver I don't think it is going to happen. Besides I think this is an NFC year anyway.

Win or lose, I hope SD roughs up Denver a bit. For that matter, I hope this is the MOST physical game played since some time in the 70's. I really hope these teams hate each other.

Well I can say this, rivers really loves to hand it to denver

So annoying Peyton always ends up with the most STACKED offenses imaginable.

GM "Peyton you want a 1st round pick, sure thing, here's a half dozen!!!"

Peyton "I wish I had a receiver like Wes"

GM "Oh you want Brady's best receiving weapon, No problem, here you go"

Arrggg!!!

That being said, it could be closer than people think. As others have noted If SD can control the clock like last game and keep Mile high forehead on the bench it's anyones game.

Rivers has just as much tendency to implode as Manning, just hoping that doesn't happen.

snow/rain on sunday for the game

Brady "I'd like to win a few more of those Lombardy things."

Our fan base would rightfully be looking for someone to crucify if something like the Dumervil situation happened here.

I don't know if I want Brady beating the crap out of Manning again or another one and done.

One thing is for sure, if Manning gets one and done again, Stephen A Smith will bash him badly.

The ref for the donkeys-chargers game is clete blakeman, the guy who threw a flag for end zone pass interference, picks it up and doesn't explain it...

I'll be happy to be wrong, but I think this will play a large role in the game. I'm not saying it will be pro-Denver, but Blakeman's crew will make a serious mistake.

How that crew was rewarded with a divisional playoff game, I'll never know.

Yeah, I'm quite happy with what we have here, just ranting....

On another note, I like the sound of snow and rain in the forecast!

This is a fine thread and all, but I can't even begin to think about this game until we (hopefully) win and move on Saturday night.

Should that happen, I will be highly excited about the DEN/SD game on Sunday.

I am hoping for the Peyton norm.

I think the Chargers could very easily come away with this one. They have the personnel to give the Broncos trouble on offense and their defense has matched up well with them in both of their contests this year. We may very well see another Peyton Manning one and done. Forecast calls for a high of 47 and a low of 26 with 10% chance of rain. Hope it trends toward the lows during game time with some 15 MPH winds to watch those ducks flutter into the hands of the Charger DB's.

I think the Mike McCoy factor is being seriously overlooked.

There is a reason the Broncos offense have scored a total of only 48 points in two games against the Chargers.

Weather is calling for gusts to 33 MPH in Denver on Sunday. PLEASE don't let this change.

What is worse for him, rain or wind?

sometimes you would think this is a broncos forum with how much people are obsessed with them

I'm hoping for some hard, driving rain with temperatures in the in the 20's or the 30's with those 33 MPH wind gusts, myself. :D

I don't think anyone is obsessed with them. Maybe a few, but it's hard to tell. They have Peyton Manning at quarterback and our the Patriots #1 nemesis in the playoffs this year. It stands to reason that, everything given, they would have a lot of airplay on this forum. Go take a look at the Broncos forums. There's a good amount of threads on the Patriots there as well.
